Hi Mamas!

So, you mamas who love to camp and go on nature walks/hikes (short or long)... what are your favorite trails to hike? I am looking for trails in the area, now that the weather has finally cooled off, so I can go either by myself or I can take the kids. We all need to burn some energy and get some exercise! The trails can be either long or short, easy or hard, but I need a wide variety all around the DFW area because I'm easily bored. LOL State parks, nature centers, random places, whatever (though closer to Arlington/FW would be best)! Thanks so much, mamas!

Bob Jones Nature Center in Southlake has a very well groomed, very short trail. The path at Grapevine Lake in concrete, but awesome. Bear Creek park in Keller has concrete trails as well. Heard Nature Center is another option.

Cedar Hill State Park, Loyyd Park, and Lynn Creek are all surrounding Joe Pool lake in Grand Prairie. There are also free trails off Beltline/1382 and Camp Wisdom. Just to the east of Beltline. These are some rugged hiking trails that really wouldn't be appropriate for a bike.

River Legacy Park in Arlington has great trails. They have concrete walkways that cut through the woods, but they also have some off-road trails. If you're lucky, you'll get to see a bobcat. We did a few times.
