I love my sage sausage stuffing. It's incredible. I've made it for the past 5 years and when I was deployed in 2008 I actually dreamed about it!
Hi mamas! Since i am unable to login to my regular account, and am not receiving emails regarding my password, I have simply made a new account.
Anyway, I am so excited about my turkey for thanksgiving! I had it in a brine overnight, and today I will rub it down w olive oil and spices, and stuff it w veggies :-) But, my favorite dish for thanksgiving is my moms sweet potato pie!!
So, what sides can you just not wait to eat tomorrow???

Last year my mom was in the hospital so I had to do Tgiving by myself. I googled crockpot recipes and did all my sides in crockpots (I had FIVE!!!). Here is our new family favorite that everyone RAVED about and can't wait to have it again (but we are celebrating on Saturday so we still have some time to wait!).
Updated Green Bean Casserole
This classic side dish is updated in two ways. First, alfredo sauce is used instead of canned condensed soup, and the recipe is cooked in the crockpot. Easy!
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 4 hours
Total Time: 4 hours, 15 minutes
Ingredients:
• 28 oz. pkg. frozen cut green beans (or 3 cans)
• 1 onion, chopped
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 red bell pepper, chopped (optional)
• 1/4 tsp. salt
• 1/8 tsp. pepper
• 16 oz. container Alfredo cheese sauce
• 2.5 oz. can french fried onions
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients except half of the french fried onions in a 4-6 quart slow cooker. Cover crockpot and cook on high for 3-4 hours, stirring after 1 hour. Just before serving, heat remaining french fried onions in a small skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir casserole and sprinkle with crisp hot onions. 10 1/2 cup servings
Homemade rolls and broccoli casserole (YUM!)
The sausage stuffing, i cant wait....and i love the rolls too :)
The rolls, for sure. The stuffing. The pumpkin pie. The turkey, because I brine mine, too, and have found that it makes all the difference.
Parkerhouse rolls. I freaking love them. Gramma lets them rise under a clean dishtowel on her oven, then paints them with melted butter and puts them inthe oven. Oh wow. They are soft pillows of yeasty, buttery goodness. And big enough to make excellent leftover sandwhiches.
And, I always make my moms dressing recipe. It's like she's in the kitchen with me and at the table with us, even though she passed 4 yrs ago.
My mom's dressing.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Hey have you all checked out the Doodle on Google.. It is really cute.. be sure to play with it.
Apple pie with apples from our garden!
One of my favorites is the fresh cranberries, I just don't know why I wait to eat them just at Thanksgiving and Christmas. They would be good all year long. Once you've eaten fresh you'll never go back to canned. But I did ask around as to why people eat canned cranberries, it is a learned behavior. LOL
