I am looking for family child care in a loving home with a fairly low # of babies.

What can I do next?

R.,

You can call Family Central and they will send you a list of licensed home/family day care providers in your area. By law, the family centers cannot have more than 5 children. They also have a website that you can do a search by zip code. http://www.familycentral.org/parents.html

Good luck

R.,

I am looking for the same. Right now I'm looking into a few local day cares. The one I really like is full but I'm on the waiting list.

Let me know if you find something!

I think you should be able to get a list from DCF (Dept of children and families) of all licensed in-home daycares. They even give you lists of questions to ask, suggestions about asking for water to see how clean the dishes are, etc. Then you can make the calls and try to find what it is you are looking for, but at least you know they are licensed and, therefore, have first aid training, spot checks, etc. :-)
