Hi ladies,
we have family (there will be 4 adults and 3 kids) coming to visit us the first weekend in October. We all LOVE the fall activities that we have to offer so I was looking for your opinions on places to pick your own apples and pumpkins. I have a few places that I love but want to try something different. I do have the MN grown directory but wanted YOUR opinions. We went to a new place last year and was extremely disapointed because we missed the apple picking and had to dig through barrels of apples (yuck). Any other ideas for fall activities to do would be greatly appreciated.
I would love to go to a place that offers wagon rides, animals, etc. but am open to different ideas.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you for the info so far. Our regular place to go is to either MN Harvest (used to be called sponsels) or Emma Krumbees, so far it sounds like those are the places to go. So we may just stick with either of those. I would love to hear others opinions as well. Thanks!

This place is awesome, but it is west of Delano so it is a bit of a drive.

I second MN Harvest - we've taken our son there since he was in utero & I decided I wanted to take my horribly pregnant self apple picking because I'd never been :)

Horse rides, wagon rides, live music, petting zoo, great food & a cute shop. It's decently sized, but not overwhelming plus they have some great varieties of apples - always great quality.

Good luck!

We LOVE going there. Lots of activities (it costs about $4 I think to get in...apple picking is a separate charge/activity) for the kids. We'll be going back again this year.

I am going to suggest Aamodt's apple farm in Stillwater. They have hay rides, animal feedings, pony rides, and more. There is a pumpkin patch on Hwy 36 also (can't remember name) that have hay maze and animals too. We do this every fall. -J.

There is a nice apple orchard called Aamodt's in Stillwater, MN. It is just off of hwy 36. They have a hay stack maze and other fun little things to do. Also near there is a pumpkin patch that has a petting zoo and lots of cute things to take fall pictures on of the kids. Since they are so close together you could do both the same day and not feel too stressed. If you take Hwy 36 East the pumpkin patch will be on your right...I think it might be called Sunny Farms or Sunny Patch Farms. Aamodt's will be slightly past that on the left. Hope you find something nice to do.

For sure MN Harvest in Jordan!!! We went last year and it was awesome. Call ahead to reserve a time for the horse-back riding though-the horses are all booked in advance so if you think you would want to do that. Lots to do & see. Have fun!

We've always loved MN Harvest in Jordan, MN for apples. They have hayrides, live music, food, and a petty zoo :)
Also, the Arboretum (out in Victoria) is a great a place to take a walk and get out to see some spectacular leaves!
:) Have fun!

Emma Krumbees in Jordan, MN is soooo much fun. They have a ton of scarecrows people have created on display, apple and pumpkin picking, A GIANT hay pile to jump around in, hayrides, a corn maze, playground, haunted trail, petting zoo, pony rides and two cute stores to shop, yummy apple baked goods, etc. VERY fun but also very crowded on the weekends. Also, pony rides only on weekends.
