I have such dry feet. I've tried creams, the ped egg weekly pedicures (at home) and still I feel I can sandpaper my walls with the heels of my feet. Its very emberassing. After I give myself a ped their soft for may three days and then after that I'm back to wearing socks all the time. Just because of the feeling of them scratching up against me or the blankets is irritating. I don't know what to do anymore. I don't know what I can buy that's worth the money. If there's something out there I can use that will really work please let me know what has worked for you.

What can I do next?

I don't sell avon, so this isn't a sales thing. I use Avon Cracked Heel Relief Cream. I use it all over and it REALLY softens up the heels and all over. Gets rid of that crackly stuff.

Every week soak your feet in warm water with Epsom salts and some vinegar.
When the skin gets all soft and wrinkly use a foot rasp to remove the dead skin.

You can also get some fresh pineapple, puree it, and soak your feet in it.
The enzymes and acid in the pineapple will help soften tough skin.
Then rinse and use the foot rasp.
Follow up with a good foot cream.

Every so often I use a chemical peel called Milky Feet.
You use it, then rinse your feet off.
Over the next several weeks your skin will peel.
It's painless but it's a lot like shedding snake skin.
Soaking your feet helps it come right off and your feet will be very soft for several months.

I can relate, seems I can't maintain any kind of softness. Here's what has worked for me lately. I got a sugar scrub (orange ginger) from bath and body, but I'm sure any one will work. This one just happens to have lots of oils in it. I use a pumice stone in the shower, followed by that. Immediately out of the shower, I have one of those heel sticks. It looks like a stick of deodorant, and you put it on your heels (I got mine at bed bath and beyond). I put socks immediately on, and wait a while before changing out of them. It really has made a difference, but is a lot of work. To step even that up, I would put on some kind of cream before bed, wrap feet in plastic wrap covered in socks until the morning. I look forward to seeing other replies for more ideas, but this really has made a difference for me. At least they don't 'catch' on my socks anymore. yuck! good luck!

I keep a 'tool' in the tub/shower with me, it costs about $2 has the 'scrubber/remover' on one side and a light emery on the other, I use it everytime I use the bath/shower it REALLY helps!

Sorry, brain dead as to the name of the tool but it is similar to a ped-egg but fits into your hand, shaped like a small brush and about 6-8" long, you can find them anywhere.

Put more oils in your body. Olive oil, fish oil, and others that you can research.

Good old fashioned Vaseline Petroleum Jelly, smeared on then put on socks and go to sleep. Do this EVERY NIGHT. You can't expect that you can do one treatment once and never have the issue again. You are going to have to keep doing it. Once they are soft, you can see about doing it less and less to the point that you can... meaning for you maybe it's 2 times a week or it might be more or less. You'll have to figure it out. It will change probably due to weather and your age too.

Another thing that works is wipe them down with those acne face wipes like Stridex then smooth on lotion (or the Vaseline) then socks for the night. But ultimately, this is best handled right before bed and both methods work very well.

"After a pedi they're soft for maybe 3 days." So give yourself a pedi every 3 days. If you haven't tried this, rub a rich emollient cream, such as Eucerin, into your feet every night. Put on socks so that the cream doesn't rub off on your sheets and so your feet will stay moist and absorb the cream.

Try "Udder Cream" or "Bag Balm."
If you want to read about it, read the reviews of it on Amazon.

Baby oil gel by Johnson & Johnson works miracles. I use it in the shower just before I towel off. I don't have to use lotion at all. When you use on your feet, be very careful, because it is very slippery if it gets on the tub. The gel makes you as soft as a baby, and is very inexpensive. Enjoy!

Try to get your feet as soft as possible, then use Lamisilk Intensive Foot Therapy Repair Complex Triple Action Serum. I LOVE this stuff and it really keeps my feet soft (I use a bit before bed). It's in a purple tube and it's a bit pricy, but it REALLY works and little goes along way.

I also use this tool in the shower – it really does work: Spoon Foot File from the Body Shop. It works so much better than the typical foot file, and a few scrubs in the shower every few days keeps my feet soft.
