Please dont have an abortion. Wait and see what happens with the baby, they cannot make you do this.
Went to E.R. found out I have a baby in my uterus, went to E.R. because of severe pain & bleeding. They measured the baby from head to bottom-ultrasound-found it was on schedule for 8week pregnancy. Also found I have a massive kidney & bladder infection. They scheduled me for an abortion, telling me that the fetus was not viable, even though it is on schedule for growth. Gave me antibiotics. Now, I am questioning do I need a abortion? Is the pain/blood from the infections? Why would the twin be growing on schedule and they are telling me to abort? HELP. It is scheduled for later today. (Wed.)
Did go to another hospital. The first (in the ovary) was def. a tubal. The second (in the uterus) did not have a heartbeat. The bleeding was from miscarrying, not the infections. I chose to go home and miscarry and then go back to be checked after. Thank you all for your prayers and concern.

My wife had an ectopic last year. The surgery was invasive, and the recovery extremely painful. Your bedridden for at least two weeks.
I imagine it's the drugs used to treat the issues are what complicates the current pregnancy. The infection I'm sure dosen't help.
I'm sorry for your loss. I wish a speedy recovery for you and your family during this trying time.
You need to insiste on a second opinion and get all the information you need from your doctor to make an informed decision.
An ectopic pregnancy can require emergency treatment, so you need to make a fast decision, but you must insist on getting all the information from your doctor.
Your post actually doesnt make much sense, but I will try to help you make sense of it anyways...
Your bladder and kidney infection is probably unrelated and can and should be treated whether you terminate the pregnancy or not. There are plenty of drugs available to treat a kidney infection, without harming an unborn child.
Rhogam is not used to treat an ectopic prgenancy. Women with an ectopic pg, an abortion, miscarriage, still birth and a normal and healthy pregnancy and birth are given Rhogam to prevent Rhesus factor (blood type) incompatibilities in future pregnancies, this is done anytime when there could be maternal and fetal blood mixing in RH- women.
The drug of choice to treat an ectopic pregnancy is methotrextate. It his highly teratogenic (causes birth defects) and if you were given a dose of this to treat your ectopic, there is a good chance the the fetus you are carrying in utero has been negatively effected, possible to the point of non viability or severe damage. No one will be able to say for sure if this fetus will be viable and what the effects from methotrextate would be, if you carried to term... but first of all you need to speak to your provider and find out what you were given!
I hope everything works out for the best. Good luck!
I would definitely get more details from your doc about what it going on with the baby before proceeding. And if he/she won't give you clear answers, go to another doctor before going ahead with today's appointment. You can't turn the clock back once you've had an abortion, better be sure before you do it. Good luck.
It sounds like you might have a miracle on your hands. If I were you, I would hold onto that baby until the heart stops beating. Where there is life, there is hope, and it sounds like there is no danger to you. Keep hoping, and we'll keep praying.
I feel for you. This is a hard one. For me we had a m/c last year. I would want to do an u/s and see if you have a heartbeat. If the baby is in the right place, growing, and has a heartbeat there is a chance. Do you have an OB? If you do call them and let them know. She want they say. I will be praying for you.
Can you get a second opinion? Maybe seek out a midwife who may not want to go the abortion route so quickly? If there is a hearbeat then your little baby is still alive. I would definitely seek out a second opinion and ask for an ultrasound too, or else you will always be wondering and this will probably haunt you forever.
You have already been given some good advice on a difficult situation. It sounds like you are confused and do not have all of the facts, and emotions make it very difficult. If you have a regular doctor, I would go to them and have them explain everything clearly. It is so important that you understand and make an informed, although difficult, decision. I was pregnant with conjoined twins that were not releasing any fluid (I can't remember the medical term for this) and they were given zero chance of surviving. I've also had a miscarriage. So, I know what it is like to be in your position. Do you have support from a spouse or family member or friend? Either way, you will need some support and someone to talk to and lean on. I hope all of your posts help. S.
