You could put half of it out now and store half for later. Let them play with what's out for a couple of months then switch. It will be like getting a new batch of toys.
We recently inherited a TON of dress up items- clothes, costumes, jewelry, hats, etc. And although my kids are going to be thrilled with it, I have no idea where to put it or how to store it so it is useable. Right now we have a trunk crammed full of clothing, another stuffed with accessories plus a bag of hats and no where to put it! Our kids share a room so closet space (and floor space) is tight. We don't have a play room, just our family room that already has their kitchen and toy shelves.
Any ideas on how to organize this in a tight space? I hate to just throw it in a big tub- besides being an eyesore in our family room, I don't think they would use it as much as they would if it was organized.

My daughter keeps all her dress up stuff in a backpack. Not fancy, but it keeps it all in one spot and she can pull it out and play with it when she wants to.
Can you hang a clothesline across one corner of their bedroom? Then you can just hang the clothes from that and keep the accessories and hats in the trunk. Another option would be a coat rack / hat tree to put some stuff on. It could be a nice accessory for their bedroom and they could use it when they are older and are teenage girls with tons of clothes!
Have you any spare space for one of those long skinny six drawer dressers?
They make a good place to put all that stuff. Later on your children can use it for accessories and underwear.
Well the smaller items I can help you with!
those shoe organizers are AMAZING for necklaces and small purses. I know they sell similar organizational stuff on amazon.

I just cleaned out my girls dress up clothes, I understand how large a collection can grow. My advice is to weed it out - get rid of anything torn or too small, get rid of multiples (really how many different tutus and tiaras do they need? sure, a couple for variety is great but beyond that...) I am also a fan of rotation if you can't bear to part with items. We have a nice wooden toy chest that we keep our dress up stuff in. I only keep what fits without having to stuff it. You can pack some away in a plastic tub and rotate it around - by season might work well. We keep our accessories in separate pink sparkly plastic storage containers with lids that stack. Again, you don't need oodles and oodles, just enough for your children and a friend or two to have some fancy jewels and whatnot. Old jewelry boxes work well for the small stuff. When we lived in an even smaller house I actually kept the dress up clothes put away and we only got them out every so often, rather than have all-access all the time. They had a couple favorite items they could keep out for more frequent wear. Good luck!
Target sells long storage bins with lids that are designed to fit under the bed. You could easily fit several of these under a bed and they hold quite a bit.
Land of Nod sells a set of three really pretty "hat boxes" - I have all of my daughter's dress up accessories stored in these. They are big enough to be functional (hold hats, purses, etc...), have lids to keep things tidy, and have a pretty small footprint when stacked.
Maybe a hat rack or hang the hats on the wall if they are pretty...? A shoe hanging bag on the back of the door for the shoes & accessories. And personally I would go thru the stuff & have them pick out their least favorite items to scale back and give them to someone else.
Is it command adhesive that makes the hooks you stick on but can remove? I'm sure they are under ten dollars. I would put up 4 hooks and give them 4 dress ups to hang on the hooks. do that in their room and it would look cute on the wall.
We use a toy box for my daughter's dress up stuff. It has a lid that closes down and looks nice.
