OK, I know teacher appreciation day was tues but I'm gving gifts to the teachers tomorrow. My question is do I also give something to the director of the daycare who is awesome? Thanks!

Hello, I know that in the elementary, middle school and high school situations there is an administrator's day (Principals). I don't know about pre-school. You might ask one of the other parents or teachers.

If you think the director is awesome, then definitely include her. That is the person who sets the tone for each day and supports the amazing teachers at your child's daycare. And really, it can be as simple as a card with a note that tells her how awesome you think she is! Sometimes, a note of appreciation is all anyone needs! Peace, B.
Thank you for asking this question. I was wondering the same thing. My son goes to daycare 3 days per week and to school 2 days per week. We gave something to his teacher and assistant teacher at pre-school, but haven't yet given anything to his 2 daycare directors (plus the other daycare workers). I don't want it to get it out of hand, but I do think they deserve something. Based on some of the answers, I think we'll just do something simple tonight - maybe cookies or something.
I always took a box of cookies/brownies/donuts etc to the front office staff; they get overlooked a lot and if it wasn't for them the place would be falling down around our kids :)
the director of my daughter's daycare is my boss so yes definitely! but I keep it simple - a 4 pack of Diet Pepsi tallboys. Something I knew she'd appreciate!
I didn't. I just did the teachers.
I bought flowers for everyone, even teachers that were not my son's direct teachers in his daycare ... they all got 3 roses ... we bundled them ourselves and the director and his two teachers got a dozen each with a small box of chocolates. So, for me, yes.
