Does Anyone Subscribe to Kraft's Food & Family Magazine? Is It Worth the Cost?

So in an effort to add to my list of quick & easy recipes I was looking through some old posts on this site (mamapedia) and I noticed that there were a ton of suggestions for the Kraft website. Also, some posters mentioned that you could sign up for a free magazine called Food & Family. So taking the past advice I headed over to that site and the magazine is no longer free! Kraft wants you to pay a subscription fee for the magazines now. I'm wondering if anyone is paying for the subscrition and if so is it worth it? Also, was anyone receiving the free mag before it changed over to a paid subscription service? Just wondering.......

Thanks!

So What Happened?

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to respond. I'm not sure at this point if I'll do the subscription or not....still trying to decide but you've given me some good points to consider :0)

I used to love getting that free magazine, but the minute they started charging for it I did NOT sign up. As far as I can tell, every single recipe in the magazine is also on the website.

Also, the more time I spend cooking & the more recipes I try, the more I realize that a vast majority of the Kraft recipes are actually kind of crappy & I can always find something way better sounding on allrecipes.com!

I pay for the subscription and I enjoy it. I was really disappointed when it went from free to paid, but I think it's worth it. It really depends on whether you like to try new recipes and will actually use them. The nice thing about their recipes is that they don't have a ton of ingredients, the bad thing is that some of them are common recipes that you've already heard of.

I got it when it was free, but when they started charging for it, I stopped getting. You can find the recipes easy enough online and the price they were charging wasn't worth it to me!

I used to get it when it was free. There are some good, quick recipes but more often than not, they weren't the healthiest so I tend to pick and choose and try to healthy them up some. Personally, I would just check out their website or www.foodnetwork.com or www.cooks.com or www.allrecipes.com. You can also subscribe to Eating Better America, Kraft and Cooking Light via email. It's not the full magazine but I think there are more than enough recipes w/those resources. Good luck.
