Hi, I have a fairly light carpet and have lived in Tracy for 4 years. We have a Bissel we bought from Walmart 2 years ago but it doesn't get all of the stains out. I'm looking for a good price. My house is 2400 sq. ft. Any recommendations? Thanks!
I have been very happy with Baker Brothers. They are out of Livermore. I have used them for a couple of years and have them come at least once per year sometimes twice. With little kids it's necessary. Good luck.

I just wanted to share a little secret of carpet stain removal that you can use in the interim of shampooing the whole carpet.
I have used Oxy 10, it comes in a double barrell silver can, I believe it is woolite that makes it. But I have pets and through all the stain removal remedies that are out there, this one I swear to. I will not use anything else, cause you just spray it on the stain and let it sit for a couple of minutes and all you have to do is use your shoe to rub it in and whalla - stain gone! It's amazing stuff!

i use saabye's chemdry. they're very nice and as far as carpet cleaning products go, chemdry is supposed to be pretty safe. i too have light carpet and use saabye's aobut every 6 months.
Stanley Steemer or Coit or Chem Dry all do a good job. Stanley Steemer does excellent work on wool area rugs too and they're very affordable. Those rental things at Safeway creep me out because you don't know what the last person rented it to clean up...EEeeewwww Gross!
