My daughter has a red nose and chin, all scratched like if she had fall really bad, thing is, I was with her all day yesterday and she never fall, never cried.
How this happened and when, is so weird.
Have your kids ever got bruises, scratches or booboo's that you have no idea when and how they happened?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

It makes me feel better we are not the only one, ha.
However I can't stop my self wondering how that happened, I mean she get scratches here and there but this one may even leave a little mark, that is how red it is, and is on the top and sides of her nose and her chin, but I don't remember leaving her side other then when I went to the bathroom, I guess all can happen in those 3min.
Ugh! I guess it will always stay a mystery.

If you see a kid without a bump, bruise or scratch they probably don't get to play much. My kids come home all the time with scratches. When they are asked what happened all's I get is "I dunno". If it is a bad one then I will ask more questions.

All the time! But my kids are all rough and tumble, they don't cry about most of the things that leave bumps and bruises, and sometimes it's a real shock to see (especially when you've been with them and don't remember anything that could have caused something THAT bad!)

My frustration came with picking up my daughter from daycare with a noticeable scratch on her nose and my provider said she didn't notice....of course the red flags went flying and I was pretty emotional about it once I got home and on the phone with my husband. As I am crying to him about the terrible daycare lady I look over at my daughter, see her sucking her thumb and wouldn't you know it, scratching her nose! She had done it to herself in her sleep. I don't know where some of these mystery scrapes/bruises come from but it could be something you child is doing on their own....Hang in there and good luck!

Yes, both my kids still do that. They don't go to daycare or anything, but they spend lots of time playing outside and sometimes they get scratches. Last week my daughter had a scratch on her face, and when I asked her what happened, she had no idea what I was talking about (she's 8). It didn't hurt her or anything, so we have no idea what happened. I think it's pretty normal for an active kid to get random and mysterious cuts or bruises.

All the time! Today my daughter had a big scratch on her finger. No idea where it came from, but she informed me that she had stitches to fix it up. Now I KNOW I would remember that happening! Hahahaha!

Definitely. I do too. Sunday we were getting ready for church and I noticed my 3 yr old had a small scratch under her eye. Then, no real changes to how we were getting ready, just dressed, quick snack and wash up, she had another tiny one right next to it. No clue how they got there. She tried to say the cat did it but she is put in the basement at night and was still there.

I don't bother trying to figure out where all the bumps and bruises come from anymore. I will ask but if they don't know I let it go.

Yup when we went to the zoo last year. Afterwards we went to a park and had out picnic. I changed my son's bum and there was this giant not gash, but bigger than a scratch. I to this day have no idea where it came from!! It even left a scar :(

I'm more concerned about the ones on ME.

My son just rolls with the punches and IF I ask happened and he never knows. He sure does come up with some weird bumps and bruises.

ALL.THE.TIME!!! I have to CONSTANTLY keep my son's nails clipped, because he scratches himself in his sleep. Last week he had a scratch under his eye, on his forehead, and on his nose. He truly looked like he had been in a fight, or had a terrible fall!

Years ago my daughter got a scratch on her chest that formed a pretty good scar. She is 13 now and the scar is about a inch long and looks like it was done by a scalpel. We never did figure out where it came from.

All the time- we actually don't ask anymore unless it's in an "unusual spot". He "dings" himself all day long when he's playing and with super fair skin the "redness" may come on a little bit after the fall and look way worse than it actually is.

Yes, they can scratch themselves with their own nails by accident, with toys, in the playground with kids, climbing out of the car seat... I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it's constant bruising, then you may want to find out who or what is causing it (maybe a kid is hitting your daughter a bit too hard?)

ALL THE TIME!! She actually has one on her foot right now that we have no idea what happened. She never said anything and when we gave her a bath, there it was. And when we ask her she tells us "I don't know" It happens, even with me. I take a shower and see a bruise and wonder where the heck that came from. It happens! :)
