Those are in a nice area. Good school district and family friendly.
We are moving to the area from FL and are considering 3 houses in the following developments: Fairways of Augusta and Harmony Grove. They are in the western part of Bolingbrook near Plainfield Naperville Rd and Hassert Blvd. Are these areas safe? I keep reading mixed reviews of Bolingbrook and I know that the eastern part of the city is not desirable, but I wasn't sure about the western part.

The western part of Bolingbrook is a nice. Fairways is located in Bolingbrook, while Harmony Grove is located more in Naperville/Plainfield area. They both are in school district 204. Fairways would be a longer drive to get to the High school, while Harmony Grove is closer. I believe you would be happy with either choice. We have lived in Naperville for 4 years now and have been pleased with the community. Oh, by the way, we have not been any more threatened by tornados or severe weather than any other part of the midwest. Good luck.
Hi Megan,
I live in the subdivision adjacent to Fairways of Augusta and my kids are in the elementary school there (district 204). It is an awesome school/district, a great neighborhood with tons of parks within walking distance and it is extremely safe. We moved here 3 years ago from Maryland and couldn't be happier. Our location is safe and gives you great access to Naperville, Bolingbrook, Plainfield and easy access onto I55 to get into the city. If you move to Fairways of Augusta, you will be in Bolingbrook and have access to all of the wonderful programs that the Bolingbrook Parks department offers to Bolingbrook residents. I moved here from an area with NO parks department so I didn't realize how important it was to move to an area with a strong parks department--the water park, the swim lessons, the classes, the preschool program, we have taken advantage of them all. If you move to Harmony Grove, I am sure you will find the same thing. Naperville is a great area with great schools. I'm not sure exactly where in Harmony Grove you are looking but keep in mind your proximity to Rte 59--that is a very busy road so you don't want to be too close to that. Good luck!
Western Bolingbrook seems to be very safe and family friendly. It is pretty much Plainfield. My only concerns with that area is tornados. My hubby works in Plainfield and wants to move to either South Naperville, Plainfield, or western BB, but I am hesitant because it seems those areas are the most prone to severe weather.
The western part of Bolingbrook -near Plainfield is nice. I have a friend that lives in Plainfield, right near the Bolingbrook-Plainfield border.
First let me say I'm sorry you have to move from the warmth to the cold. I have lived behind Fairways of Augusta for 14 years and have had no problems. You get the benefits of lower taxes and District 204 schools. Harmony Grove is actually in Naperville. Let me know if you need anything else.
Welcome to the area. I live in Plainfield (west of where you are looking) and work in Bolingbrook near Route 53 and Boughton. I don't know the specifics of the areas you are looking but driving by they appear to be a nice area. Some of the places by my work are gorgeous and some are not as great.
Good luck!
