We put out a stocking for the cats and in it we usually put some canned food, treats, a new mouse, some honeysuckle wood and maybe some cat milk.
I do. Was wondering how common it was
We put out a stocking for the cats and in it we usually put some canned food, treats, a new mouse, some honeysuckle wood and maybe some cat milk.
I do. They each have 'personalized' stockings that I put their special x mas treats in - and they are hung up with the kiddos stockings.
I also have saved the stockings for animals we have lost.
I think it is pretty common.
No. They have no idea what Christmas is. I don't celebrate their birthdays either. They don't know what a birthday is.
Yep. We have a dog and cat. They get Christmas and St. Nick gifts in their personalized stockings and birthday gifts. They are a big part of our family and provide us with endless unconditional love and laughter and smiles. It's the least I can do for my furry pals!
Yep. They like looking for new toys, special kibble treats, a new bed
sometimes etc.
We let the cats play in the wrapping paper and boxes after we give them their Yuletide catnip :)
Yes, our dog gets new toys and bones from us and Santa. She is a part of our family not just a pet. She also loves to open her own gifts, it is more fun for her to chew off the wrapping paper.
Yes, our pets also have stockings hanging along with ours.
Yes, our furr kids get tuna and catnip and fresh toy mice! We love to see their little eyes light up when their stocking gets emptied out in front of them! They actually get excited and happy!
We did when we had a dog. We don't for the fish.
Yes.
He gets squeaky toys and bones.
No- we don't buy the dog a gift. We do let him lick the turkey pan. That makes him happier than anything we could buy.
Yes, and sometimes the pets buy us presents. :)
My dog gets Christmas presents and birthday presents. His birthday is on Christmas Eve, so he gets presents then, and then again on Christmas. He also has a stocking. I usually order him 10 of his favorite pig toy and for the day he can have them all. He also gets treats. On Thanksgiving, he gets what we are eating for dinner, same with Christmas. For his morning meal, we usually give him wet and dry food mix, but on holidays he gets all wet food.
Yes. She gets a toy and Pounce. Queen hairball also gets a Christmas present from Grandpa and Grandma:)
Yeppers! I'll have Kiddo help me make some catnip toys (sewing little pouches) for Sally Lou and Milton, our kitties. We'll likely also buy them a few new feathers for their "Da Bird" toy and a couple other things. Our cats are a part of the family and they are things we'd give them anyway. And yeah, they have a designated pet stocking. We don't do separate stockings; our old departed Gus has a memorial on the back yard. What other cat has property? :)
The cat was given snacks, catnip toys, and she loved the emptied boxes with the ribbons and tissue..so we let her jump and hide in them..
the dog gets a stocking, and the cats share one.
okay, there will *probably* be a cat tower this year too.
the horses just get a super-yummy apple-and-carrot-laced bran mash in addition to their dinner.
the dog LOVES to unwrap christmas presents. the boys (both grown now) have him 'help' with all of theirs.

Yes. And the cat buys DD a present, too.
Yep. Same type of thing as Shannon.
She has her own stocking (it has a jester's heel instead of a normal toe like the rest of our stockings, but otherwise, it matches exactly). She gets a new stuffed toy, usually a bone of some sort (cow bone or antler) and a new frisbee. Sometimes a new bed, if she is due for one.
She knows which stocking is hers.
They have stockings with treats in them but that's about it.
No. Maybe a bone but that's it. We can afford it easily but if I'm going to spend on other than my children, I feel I should spend on less fortunate children who understand it's Christmas, not our dog who has no clue, despite the fact I adore him.
Yes, usually just from Santa... sometimes its an excuse to have a fresh clean dogbed for her in the morning under the tree.
We never bought presents for our dog growing up. My parents would have though that was superlame! That was back before the influx of PetSmarts and PetCos.
Yes they'll get bones. I already bought one gift a toy hedgehog wearing a little Santa that I thought was cute.
Yes, the gerbil gets an assortment of new fancy chew toys (in addition to all the tubes our friends and family members give her)
Yes, Scruffy get a stocking with treats and a toy. He also gets gifts (treats & toys) from my mom and my brother & sisters lol. Kinda silly I know.
Yes but it's usually only a bone or squeaky toy.
Yes. We also have special ornaments (pet angels) that we have for each of the pets we have lost and it is a special part of our tradition when we hang those on the tree.
We live on a farm and have a pig and a German Shepherd. They share a stocking. The kids love the animals' stocking. The pig gets pears, and the dog gets rawhide bones. Everyone is happy. :)
Our Roxy girl gets a bone or a new chew toy.
My animals are spoiled rotten but no, I do not buy them Christmas presents. I have a hard enough time buying/making gifts for all the humans in my life!
Not really. They're already pretty spoiled. The cats enjoy the boxes, the dog like the extra attention and my mom brings her dogs over to play.
Depends on the budget. I'm not going to put myself out to buy them something for a day they don't understand.... Buuut, if I can afford it, then it's fun to do. :)
usually a new bone or something. One, maybe 2 things but thats about it.
We don't have pets but my brother in law has two dogs. It is hilarious to see the videos of the dogs taring open a wrapped toy or bone. I think if we ever go get a dog we would probably wrap a few little things for him.
