If you buy a ticket for a Disney Orlando special event like MIckeys not so scary Halloween, what is the earliest they will let you into the park? Are there any tricks for getting in earlier? I was told to make a reservation to eat at one of the restaurants in the park but the disney website doesn't even state the hours for the ticket.

You can purchase the ticket and enter after 4 PM. They will put a plastic wrist band on you so they know you will need to leave by 6 or 7 when the Halloween party starts.
These tickets are separate from the regular ones. By the way I take my daughter every year and she loves it. They usually have character meet and greets with some that are not usually out like Jack Sparrow for example.
You need a regular park ticket for admission plus event ticke, so you can go all day. At like 4 or 5 PM they give out wristbands. Anyone without one must leave park.
they will let you in at 4pm or 5 pm depending on what night you go. unless you have a separate ticket for the day you will not be able to get in earlier. the trick of making reservations for dining ONLY works for breakfast before park opening at some locations and still requires a VALID ticket for theme park entry.
We have annual Disneyland passes and I know my daughter is going to an event out here next month. The party times vary (6 or 7 pm) and you have admission to the park three hours prior to party time.
The Mickeys not so scary Halloween party is from 7pm-midnight, and requires a special event ticket. This event is not offered every night, and only runs from Sept - November 1st.
