I am going back to work on June 23 and looking for the Daycare. I live in Edmonds, Washington. My little boy is 4 months old. Do you know any Daycare or nanny? I am willing to pay up to $1,000 per month.

thanks,

What can I do next?

You should check out KinderCare or Bright Star childcare centers.

I would not recomend Kindercare, my sister-in-law worked there and she had some real stories about how some children were treated, how some of the workers got caught taking naps (while the children were sleeping), about mouthy and rude kids, and how USDA lunches meant spaghettie O's!! (eww) It just doesn't seem like a great place to have your kid. Go for a nanny!! There are some that will come to your house, and if you got a SAHM (stay at home mom) we ususally charge less! There was a woman on here a couple of days ago looking at nannying. You can also go on craigslist, or look in the paper. If you really do want to do a daycare, I would recomend a private one. Their child to worker ratio is usually a smaller number, and your child will probably get more attention. (Side note, when my SIL was working at kindercare, the teacher child ratio was something like 1 to 13!! Imagine if your son is having one of those days when they need some extra lovings, hugs, and attention. if the teacher has 13 kids to deal with, she can't possibly give your child the kind of attetion he deserves.)
BUT, all in all, I am a nanny...I love my job, and I love the little girl I take care of. She's lovely, and the family is great. I highly recomend a nanny!!
Good Luck! L.

Check into a Bright Horizons. They are not cheap but very clean, great teachers and organized. Both of mny girls went and loved it. I would agree to say far away from Kindercare and Bright Star...way too many kids, always dirty and very young teachers (highschool or younger) that no little to nothing about handeling a baby (SCARY!!!). My other choice would be a Montessori school, they do a wonderful job with kids in a very warm and friendly way. Good luck!
