Garnier Frutis products- they have a sleek and shine that works really well for the hair. Put it in after a bath or shower on towel-dryed damp hair. It will help tremendously! Good luck!

I need some advice-My 3 year old daughter has always had wavy hair and it curls a little at the ends. Well, i just recently noticed that she has split-ends. What could I use to fix this?

Scissors.
All hair splits unless it's regularly trimmed.
The only way to get rid of split ends is a good trim.
Hello Heather, I have to say that after having 3 three year olds here today that all I can say is that most of the time they were moving to fast to try and do much about it. Truth be told 2 had it flying all over the place and looked like they had never seen a hair brush and the 3rd was picture perfect even after jumping on the trampoline today.
I would suggest that you take her someplace special even if its only a beauty school and have them trim her hair and paint her toes. She will sit still longer for you and have less chance of moving her head at the wrong moment so you have to make it really short!
Good Luck
trim it, it will grow better if you do.
Jolco's K-pak for split ends. Apply to towel-dried hair concentrating on the ends.
Worked for me,

Hair needs to be trimmed regularly to maintain it's health. Just because she has long hair doesn't make it look pretty unless it's maintained. Please don't hesitate to take off as much of the dead, split ends as possible. Not only will she look much prettier, her hair will grow faster as well.
give it a slight trim. Split ends just keep on spliting causing the hair to look bad.
I also say a haircut is the only way. You can use a detangler after the bath to make her hair soft and easier to brush. I used my Dove leave in spray and it worked great. She also didn't fight me as much to brush her hair.
Hi Mama-
A leave in conditioner or anti-frizz shield works best. I just purchased (because i loved the samples) Avon's new lotus shield for your hair. Right now it's on sale for $9.99 and honestly, with my split ends, it's what I use. After the shower, I towel dry, comb as best I can, then rub some on the ends. I also use it after I blow dry sometimes because the heat causes damage.
These, however, are only temporary. If your baby's hair grows quickly, you may want to consider a trim. Also, if you are using regular shampoo, I suggest going to a sulfate free shampoo. It will keep more moisture in your hair and on your roots, and not dry out your hair like regular shampoo. L'Oreal makes a couple. You can also purchase sulfate free shampoo's at your whole foods store, like Lassens. I like the Adama clay minerals shampoo and conditioner. They have trial sizes, so you can buy a little one and try it for a week or two and see if you like it.
Then, with a healthier shampoo (because the oils aren't totally removed so they protect the hair) and some leave in stuff, her hair should stay split end free longer. All hair will eventually split, though, so regular trims will be needed. Any salon can do about half an inch to clean things up every 3-6 months.
I hope this helps!

Existing split ends cannot be fixed...they have to be cut off, so to get rid of them trim her hair beyond the point of the split ends. And to prevent them, be very gentle when brushing her hair, especially if it gets tangled.
You gotta get it trimmed, or even a little cut to get rid of all the split ends, which is bound to happen. You also mentiontioned she has wavy hair, my daughter does too. We get hers trimmed frequently in a layering way that makes the curls bounce so happy. The layering effect is how her hair hair naturally grew in at so our 3yo still looks like a 3yo & not an adult. Take her to a kid salon with the chairs to have fun. Also I use Suave detangling conditionair (green bottle with frogs on it) after I use a kid shampoo. I also use a detangling spray (generic Walmart brand) for when her hair seems a little tougher than usual. Good luck.
