S.,
Hi! I wanted to give you a heads up . . . my 4 year old son just finished a round of antibiotics because he was rubbing his nose area so much with a kleenex, he was raw under his nose (from a virus). Unfortunately, bacteria then got into his blood stream, so he had the strep bacteria coursing through his body! I didn't even know that could happen!
I'm not trying to freak you out, but I wanted to make you aware that this is a real possibility, and it does happen. I hope that you are able to find a doctor who can help you soon. Your daughter deserves the very best!
I can tell you that I adore my pediatrician, Dr. Eric Hopkins, in Grapevine. He has been amazing with both of my boys, but admittedly, not for the allergy symptoms you are describing. I also know that a friend of mine whose son has had allergy-induced asthma has found a wonderful doctor in a Dr. Deborah Fawcett in Southlake.
Sorry I couldn't be more help, but maybe one of these doctors will be able to help your daughter conquer this.
Blessings,
L. S.
