We go to a WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL Pediatric Allergy and Immunology doctor at Medical City Dallas. His name is Dr. Richard Wasserman. We have been going to him for 10 years. All 6 of my children suffer from ezcema, allergies, asthma and one has severe food allergies and life threatening food allergies. I can't even put into words what a great doctor he is. We live in Grand Prairie and it is so worth the drive. His phone # is ###-###-####. He is on top of his game and is in my opinion the best out there.

I don't have any recommendations but my daughter is very allergic to milk and we put her on Nutramigen formula at 5 wks. She was a different baby after that. She is 2 1/2 now and still allergic to milk and also wheat. I hope this helps. I know how frustrating it is to have a fussy baby.

I just took my 4 yr. old little boy to the allergist for the first time last week. He's had really bad eczema since he was a baby. Anyway, we went to Dr. Rogers in Fort Worth (near Camp Bowie and Bryant Irvin) and he was wonderful. My parents and sister have used him for years. In the waiting room there were several young children waiting to see him. He was very patient with me and explained everything about allergies and how they work. Out of all the doctors we've seen about his eczema (and it's been alot) he gave me some different advice that so far seems to be working. Based on our visit last week I would highly recommend him.

I would highly recommend Dr. Apaliski at Allergy and Asthma Centres of the Metroplex. He has two offices: 1 in N.Arlington and 1 in S. Arlington. He was recommended to us by our pediatrician. He was very thorough and has really helped with my son's problems.
We go to the S. Arlington office and the number there is ###-###-####.
They see all ages at the clinic, but he specializes in pediatrics. Your friend's daughter probably needs to be tested for other allergies as well.
I cannot say enough good things about him.

Ditto on Dr. Apalaski in Arlington. I've seen him for 4 years now, through a pregnancy, and I trust him. I plan on taking my little there soon to be allergy tested, he is also allergic to dairy and soy (and bananas). FYI, my son's pedi said that most babies that are allergic to dairy also have a soy allergy. You can still breastfeed, if you are breastfeeding. Just cut out dairy in your diet. You should an improvement within a couple of days (we did). It's a little harder than it sounds, but well worth it. Good luck!

Two allergy doctors that my family has used and highly recommends are Howard Lang (far north Bedford) ###-###-#### and C.R. Hamel (south Arlington)###-###-####. We switched to Dr. Hamel after moving to Mansfield.

Both doctors spend a lot of time with their patients and dig for answers. Both doctors uncovered problems with family members that other doctors had blown off or passed off as a different problem than they really were. They will LISTEN to you and value your input into your own (and your child's) medical care.

Before going to an allergy doctor, be sure to ask a few questions on the phone. There are two doctors recommended in the other responses who don't believe in food allergies and who won't let you do injections at home. With an infant, you'll probably want to take the precaution of doing it in the office anyway (if anyone will treat an infant with injections--I don't know), but she will grow older and you will get tired of spending time with appointments to get injections twice a week. We have five people in our household who take injections at home. We've NEVER had a problem other than once I got a headache from a dose that was off.

Be alert for other things she may be allergic to, because most allergic people are allergic to more than one thing. Ragweed and grasses are likely allergens for her, because they cross-react with milk.
