So, Connor decided to color all over Grandpa's wall with crayons. Any advice on how to get this off the wall? It is in a 3 foot by 3 foot area.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

My husband tried the dryer sheet and he said it just smeared everything (these were really old crayons, from his older grandkids) We were going to try some other ideas, but Grandpa said he wants Connor's artwork on his wall and he does not want us to clean it off! So, Grandpa is keeping the wonderful drawing. Ha Ha

First of all... make sure you take a picture of your little Picasso's art work! lol

Well, I decided to look up some other ways besides the Magic Eraser since I have had them remove more than just marker and stuff from my walls! I read that using a dryer sheet will remove crayons from the wall. OK... now I really feel like a bone-head since I decided to go and test it!

So, I took my daughters blue crayon and 1 Gain dryer sheet and WOW- it really worked!! I am sure any dryer sheet will work. I tried it on a few spots where we have different paint and it really does work on them all! And here I thought someone was smoking "stuff"! The only thing I did notice is on one area where I tried it the paint is more textured... I had to ball up the sheet and use a tiny bit of elbow grease to get in the "crevices" of the paint.

Good luck and blessings to you and your talented artist :)

Magic eraser rocks for crayon on walls. But do it yourself, don't make your kids do it. They can get pretty bad chemical burns if they use it on themselves. I have a crayoner too. We have all drawing implements stored in a sealed box on a high shelf. I can't wait for her to grow out of this phase!

Magic Eraser - it works wonders. One of the previous posters said to make sure it's the brand name, but that's not true, I get the Walmart brand and it works as good and is cheaper.

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers - they are truly amazing and easy! Heavy duty or regular - doesn't matter. Just make sure it is the brand name. It shouldn't remove the paint unless you are scrubbing really hard. Good luck!

Hi M.!

I have been told that toothpaste will remove crayon markings on the wall.

Good luck!

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser will work! It did NOT take any paint, etc off of my wall.

Try a little baking soda on a damp cloth.
