Hi Moms,
I was wondering if anyone used Craigslist to find a job and if so were they well known employers...looking for work as a medical biller/collector....

What can I do next?

Yep - I'm an internal recruiter for my company and we always post on craigslist because it's free and we get lots of candidates that way!!!

Well I have a business, and we use it to find staff. Of course we are just a small business, and our search is typically for unskilled labor. We do hire quite a few people from there though. I am not sure how good it is to find professional jobs; but we do tend to get a few professional resumes through it for people looking for management jobs. I say give it a shot. The only thing you have to lose is some time. Just check out any company you find before accepting a job from them.

I got my current job from Craigslist. It DOES pay over $30K and it is full time. However, I would not strictly look on that site only... I did use Monster and Careerbuilder as well... I was fortunate to find my job...

Good luck!

Hi A.,

I have nothing but good things to say about CL. The last 3 jobs I have had have been through CL. I dont even use any other job source anymore when I am looking. As a matter of fact the last actual job I was offered was the highest paying job I have had and the ad posted there.

Good Luck!

I would think your chance on Craigslist would be about as good as Monster, maybe a little better! It wouldn't hurt anything to try it. Good luck!

A., I use Craigslist to advertise the homes I have for sale, and try to recruit agents to sell real estate, I think it's better for home based offices, and for people to spend less on "ads" in the paper and find clients, I would be leary if your trying to find a full time job, with salary income over and above $30K per year, you would have better success at careerbuilder or monster.com I would think, but if you want to get into real estate it is a great way to have flexible hours, give me a call or see more at www.readyreal.com "click on the tab "Realtors" to learn more.

Yes - I recently left a corporate position and the recruiting dept always listed positions on craigslist.
