Hi moms, I'm making bottle cap paperclips and need some glue. I've tried hot glue and super glue, neither are working. Basically I'm taking a metal paperclip and gluing it to the back of a bottle cap. What glues do you guys like that will last??? Thanks.

What can I do next?

I like Tacky Glue. You can find it at the craft stores (ie: Michael's). It dries quickly and clear. Good Luck!

You could try a two part epoxy. You have to mix it yourself and it can be alittle strong smelling but it should work. Have to also work fast because it sets kind of fast. You should be able to find it in a hardware store or I think walmart also sells it

I think that a silicone type glue would work. Try Lexel Clear (technically not silicone) - it dries really clear. You will probably need a glue gun to apply. I use it for mosaics and I am no expert so don't be intimidated. THere is a slight smell when you are working with it but when it dries there's nothing.

for metal on metal I would use gorillia glue. It won't ever come off!

E6000 is a good glue. The trick with it is to let it sit overnight to cure. You can find it at Joanna and Muchael's. A good resource for all things glue related is thistothat.com. Good luck.

Use glue that is for glueing on rhinestones, I think there's one called jewel bond.
