Bently, Toby, Ollie. I saw this guys name on the TV last night, Ames. Thought it would be a cool dogs name.
We are thinking about getting a puppy and I want to think of a really, cool name for him.... He's a American Staffordshire Terrier (very good breed of a pitbull, although I hesitate telling people that because some judge. I had one for almost 15 years and we had to put him down 3.5 years ago. One of the saddest days of my life). He's 95% white with 2 tiny dots of brown on him...
We already have a rescued retriever/english pointer mix named Reese, a cat name Winston, and iguana name Koby...
Cool name suggestions appreciated :0)
Thanks everyone.. We went a different route and decided to rescue a dog that already has a name.. As much as i REALLY want another American Staffordshire Terrier, we are going to rescue an adult dog.. His name is Leo.. That's the name he came with.. (which I like because I'm a Leo)

What do you think of Diesel or Matrix? The coolest names I can come up with..A friend of mine called his dog Nike, other nice names are Oliver, Whiskey, Lillo, Bodo...there are so many you can make up!
Gunner
Bandit
Kipper
Belle
Milo
Have you seen 'Green Street Hooligans'? Great movie!...How about '(The) Major'?
When I got my big dog I had trouble deciding between:
(The) Major...the bada$$ big brother from the above movie
OR
Brooks...the old man in 'The Shawshank Redemption' who is the animal lover
After observing my new puppy for a day or two we all agreed he was more of a 'Brooks'...he is the epitome of 'Calm Submissive'!
Do you have teens or does your hubby like to play Halo...all my boys and myself (I must admit :) have the name 'The Master Chief' on our list too!
~We like to name our pets after favorite books or movies or games, if you can't tell!
My sister had a lovely all white pit named Meeshack...very cool dog, very cool name!
! Yikes, someone just suggested my name as a dog's name...ewww !

We named our pitbull Tuff E. (your last name here....) LOL - we liked it. Called him Tuff or Tuffy.....he is the sweetest dog that you will ever meet!
It's not the dog that is the problem it is the owner that is the problem when the dogs go crazy.....
Let us know what name you pick!!
we got out a map of Alaska (our favorite place to go) and started calling out names of towns like we would call a dog to come home. It was pretty fun. We ended up with Hoonah for our Golden retreiver. :)
I love my pit bull mix!! He's the best baby!! (except of course when he's a rotten little boy who likes to get into the boys toys when left alone!!:) ) I'm ssssooo sorry for your loss!!!
Any way my little boy's name is Grady...
If the one you adopt has a patch over his eye - Jack Sparrow or Bandit....
If he looks like he thinks a lot - Ponder.
Darby, I like Diesel...how about "DUDE"?!?!?! I wanted to name a dog DUDE but my husband didn't have a sense of humor!! :)

Try to think of something you won't mind hearing 1000x daily and also that you can have fun with.
Our cat is Tweezer (we call him weezy or tweaker)
Our dog is Kali (we sing a song "kaligator, she'll eat your face off" funny to us because she is so huge but a total gentle giant, though she would take care of business if she needed to)
Have fun naming your newest family member!
Harley
Harvey
Wrigley
Bam Bam
Duece

Well, here are the names of my dogs
Rusty (chocolate lab/weimeriner mix)
Chewy (Chiuaua/Pom mix)
Motley (Maltese/Pom mix)
One thing we did with naming animals was found words or phrases to describe the animal and we would find a cool name in another language that can become the name ie: Gino -- My sister could not come up with a name for her cat and she was taking French she kept answering Je ne se pas to my mother (I don't know) so my mom said Gino! Or another cat name again calico, covered in patches, I was taking Italian at the time so we named her Pezzo! It can be fun if you get creative!
These are all the dogs I grew up either having or knowing in my neighborhood: Brutus, Coach, Brody, Star, Bob, Truly, Sammy, Frisco, Drake, Scotty, Muffy, Brandy, Cholo, Mitzy, Bridgette, Maggy & Lola. Any of those??
I named my dog Oliver and any time someone meets him they comment on how cute that is and how fitting it is for him. Also....from the movie Milo & Otis....how about Otis, at some point in the movie there is a bull frog that says "Otis, Otis,Otis...." in a Bullfrog chant kind of way. I have some friends who have a theory about dog names.....if you just give it a dog name like fluffy or something, then it usually ends up with just an "any old dog" personality, but dogs with cool people names have more personality and are better behaved in general. I don't know if there is anything to that, but my Oliver is very cool and anyone who meets him says how cool he is and remarks on how intuitive and smart he is. Good luck!
