Hello Moms,

I'm considering switching to cloth diapers with my 3rd child who's almost 1yr old.
However, I noticed there's soooo many different brands and types of inserts..etc.
Anyone have any recommendations? Suggestions?
Also, as my daughter is 23lbs - do I go with a MED or LG size? I want to prevent leaks but don't want to cause poor circulation around her very very chubby thighs.

Tks!!

We use the Bumgenious(onesize pockets) and Fuzzibunz(pocket). Our son is 24 lbs and is in the size medium Fuzzibunz(new style) and still has room to grow. The only disadvantage to the Bumgenious is that my son can now un-do the velcro fasteners. We love them both. We sometimes double stuff them if we know he will be wearing them for a long time (long naps) and have no issues with leaking. I do suggest getting the rice paper liners. They are a flushable liners that you can use. It makes it so much easier to flush the poop out.

Good luck doing your research and making your decision!

I used the DyDee Diaper service, which delivers, picks up, and cleans for you, with both my boys and thought it was a good deal.

Good luck!

I love the Bum Genius 3.0; it is an adjustable diaper so it can go from newborn all the way up to potty training time. They are easily adjusted for the perfect fit, and no leaks. I also use G diapers and love them. The fir very well and there is not all that extra bulk. They have two different inserts for G diapers, a cloth one and a flushable/compostable/disposable insert. They are super cute and fit very well. We use both the Bum genius and G diapers on our little girl and love it. Have fun!

I have Fuzzi Bunz pocket diapers and really like them. The size medium last from about 15 - 30 pounds plus. My daughter started wearing them at 4 months and still has room to grow in them at 27 months. She will done with diapers all together before she outgrows them. They are also very easy to use (my husband will use these but does not like using the prefold diapers I purchased) and they aren't too bulky under clothes. They are easy to care for and have a fun selection of colors!
Good for you for going for cloth diapers!
