Has anyone here used Clomid? How did it make you feel? Did you have mood swings or anything? Any physical symtpoms (i.e. low sex drive, pain, etc.) Did the Clomid work? After how long? How long do you use it? Thanks.

I was on clomid for 4 months and I was a little bit more irritable. But no physical side effects. I had to move on from there to get 4 IUI's along with injections to mature my eggs. So good luck to you I really hope all you need is clomid!
I had trouble getting pregnant so my doctor put me on Clomid. I had no physical symptoms or mood swings that I can remember. After 3 months of trying on our own with Clomid and no results I went to see a specialist. After a few months to see what works and what doesn't my doctor found that Clomid worked better for me than the other drugs. With a combination of Clomid, shots, and insemination it only took 2 tries (2 more months) before I was pregnant. Overall it took 7 months for me to get pregnant after starting Clomid. I hope this helps.
Hope this helps a little...
I used Clomid with both of my sons. The low dosage of 50 mg. wasn't so bad, it was when I was on the 100 mg. that I noticed side effects. I had hot flashes and mild mood swings and some mild pains when I was ovulating. the first time I took Clomid for my first son, it worked after 2 rounds. With my second son, it worked after 5 rounds. I hope that helps and Good Luck!
I used Clomid and had no side effects whatsoever. I did not get pregnant on Clomid alone, but did when used to 'jump start' the follicle maturation process prior to using injectable Follistim.
I used Clomid and it turned me into the devil! I had terrible mood swings, but not really any physical symptoms. In my case the Clomid did not work, but we were lucky to get pregnant on our own.
I used Clomid to help conceive both of my children. I did feel irritable, had some hot flashes, and generally felt like my ovaries were the size of cantalopes! But, it worked! I would use it again if I needed it. My doc did warn that using the drug can up your chance for twins. Good luck!! L.

i have used clomid and felt fine taking it. i didnt notice mood swings, or low sex drive. It helps your eggs grow so when you ovulate you will be in pain ask your doc for some pain meds. it only took two months on clomid and i got preg. Only with one Thank god and i am about to go back on it in may or june to try for number two.
Good luck
if you need more info just email me
i used clomid twice and both times it took me 4 months. my drs at the time said i could only take it for 3 rounds....50mg, 100mg, and then 150mg and then needed a specialist. i took it the 3 months and the 4th month without taking anything i got pg. I dont remember any side affects. I hope you succeed in trying.
I did one round of Clomid and was able to get PG with my first child on the first try with IUI. The week I was on it, I was moody, had hot and cold flashes, and was just generally irritable. I don't know if it did anything to my sex drive because I was just mad about everything. Who wanted to have sex feeling like that? :-) Good luck with your treatment!

i tried clomid for 5 months, the lowest dose. i was tired and would get very bad hot flashes, and some migranes but thats about it.
the clomid didnt work for me, but i dont think it was the clomids' fault. my husband was having an issue with the "pressure of doing it" at that certain time of the month b/c he knew i wanted to get pregnant so bad and i'd get upset every time i wasnt. it was "too much pressure" for him or something. i actually got pregnant the month after i stopped taking the clomid, when i thought i had already ovulated but hadnt.
good luck.
I did with no success. Although the drug is a great option just watch for side effects. The mood swings were not to bad but I did get ovarian cysts. When they ruptured the pain, nausea, and vomiting was awful. Good news was this was not until I was on maximum dosage.
In the end we adopted a child instead of continuing with the infertility process.
