Home Depot and Lowes sell a powdered spa tub cleaner. It is somewhat toxic and quite expensive (about $10/bottle), but well worth it! It works great!
Hello Moms!!!
My fmaily and I live in an apartment and the master bathroom has a jetted tub. It is also a shower and we never use it as a tub so the jets and the part that sucks in the water for the jets are getting really gross! Does anyone know how to clean them? I tried putting some bleach in the tub and filled it up over the jets with water then turned on the jets but the bleach bubbled up like crazy!! It was a disaster!! Any ideas would be appreciated! Thank you!!
Thanks everyone! I think I will try the vinegar. Not sure how much I should put in though. Any suggestions?

They sell Jacuzzi cleaning tablets at home depot/ lowes. The instructions are on the box. Pretty easy, but takes about half and hour to go through all the steps. Good luck!
Vinegar - that is what our builder suggested when we had one - or bleach, but sounds like that did not work.
theres a
product from maleluca is a bathroom cleanser i don't know the name but cleans wonderful.
Fill with warm water and vinegar and then turn on the jets and let them run for a while.
I use Tub and Tile by Melaleuca for cleaning my bathroom. Does great job is a natural cleaner that is not harmful for you or your family.

If your jets are like ours then you should be able to twist them off. I do that every so often and let them soak in bleach water and then let the jets run for awhile. I use a toothbrush to clean the suction part.
Hey -
I'm not sure about the product the other's are talking about from Home Depot/Lowe's, but I think the key is "how" you do it. I read online about using dish detergent (powdered) and filling your tub with HOT water and then putting hte detergent in (dissolved) and letting the jets run for 15 - 20 minutes. Then, draining the tub and refilling and rinsing the whole system with cool water. This works well for me for cleaning the internals. But, for the externals, I just get down there with a toothbrush and scrub them.

I always heard that the bleach was the way to clean them.
