What toy items would you include for 10-14 year olds in other countries? They may or may not speak english. We are doing 2 different programs and the greatest need is this age group. So far we have nonbattery-operated flashlights and shirts.

Small Nerf football, socks, candy, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, mints, gum, paddle ball game, rubiks cube, pencils, paper, markers, soap, comb, brush, harmonica, yo-yo, slinky, calculator (solar), flashlight & batteries, baseballs, paperback books....
When I did a program through my church, they said school supplies were a HUGE deal to these kids. Markers, pencils, notebooks, that sort of thing. Also, toothbrushes, toothpaste, any toiletries.

We always do girl boxes.
We get fun socks, small diary like notebooks, color pencils, markers, hair stuff (combs, brushes and hair fun-stuff), cheap jewelry (cross necklaces), glue, scissors, and colored paper (usually origami paper with picture instructions).
Our church packs 100 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child every year...For a girl .I always try to find a small doll or stuffed animal that will fit into the box...other things that I have included are jump ropes, jewelry items or hair barrettes, comb and brush, a mirror, if you can get one that is unbreakable, jacks and ball set, coloring book. For a boy...matchbox cars, balls,Lego sets, if you include anything that needs batteries, be sure to include extra batteries. I also include a clothing item, socks, a shirt, sometimes we get stocking caps or gloves, I just trust that God is going to send the right box to the right child!!!

I think girls would probably be pretty easy, maybe it's just b/c I am a girl, but I would do things other mentioned like hair accessories, chapsticks (bonnie bell type) and lipglosses (BB also makes those and they appear more mature, even though they're not;), socks, etc.
For boys, maybe sports watches (you can find fairly inexpensive ones at Wal Mart, etc.), also probably socks, deodorant, small leggo sets, handheld games or card games (they make reasonably priced ones in the card game section at places like Target, etc.), maybe trading cards like baseball or something?, bubble gum

Stuffed animals, harmonicas, yo-yos, school supplies, hygiene items, hard candies, gum, hair accessories for girls, baseball style caps for boys, and socks, in addition to the t-shirts and flashlights are all good items for this age group.
