Christmas Photos Taken with iPhone?

Has anyone ever ordered pictures taken with your iPhone? I usually send out a photo greeting card every year for Christmas but usually with the digital camera. Just curious if the pictures would turn out and how good the clarity is versus using the digital camera.
Feedback and thoughts would be great.
Thanks!
Just want to share that I have the iPhone 4

I have an iPhone 5 and I just went and had a panoramic pic of my kids at the park printed up and it looks just as good as a camera pic. I hardly ever use my camera over my iPhone

The iPhone, takes GREAT photos.
And you just upload it like regular photos.
My Hubby's iPhone, takes better photos than our digital camera. His is the iPhone 4.
And we print them.
And it is GREAT.
The iPhone has great quality photos and video.

Depends on how many megapixels your digital camera has, and how big you want the picture to be on your Christmas card. The iPhone 4 has a 5 megapixel camera with flash, which is as good or better than many older digital cameras.

My main wedding photo was taken with an iPhone 3 years ago. We used this photo for our thank you's and no one could tell the difference.

We have also done the cover art for my hubby's CD (Manifested Love) sold on iTunes if you want to see that pic. Again you can't tell the difference. That pic was done on the iPhone 4.

UPDATED
I used Shutterfly to produce the card which was a one sided card with one photo and some nice words. It was simply perfect and no problems with the picture. Everyone thought the pic came from the photographer but it didn't.

I take pictures with my phone (not an I phone). I find that my phone pictures are not as great quality as my digital camera. I tend to stick to using my camera.

I use the Walgreens photo app and works great with my I phone. Super easy to use :). I like their photo cards too. You could do a test run and print one photo if u like it.. Then do walgreens Christmas cards.. They have great coupon codes in their flyers.

you have to adjust the size of the photos your phone takes first...mak sure its not on small.

adjust the size to large and then take a photo and print it at cvs for 10 cents and see?

Typically I fine phone camera pictures aren't nearly as good as a picture from a dedicated digital camera. However, if it was taken where there is good, bright lighting, it might be okay. If you are doing a greeting card that has multiple small pictures on it, then people may not notice as much. Some pictures that don't look as good regular or full size, look fine when shrunk down to a smaller size.

It also depends on what you expect others to do with the card. If you are using the photo greeting card as a way to send an updated family picture to family and friends and the expectation is that you want some of them to be able to keep them as your family pic of the year, then I personally wouldn't use a phone camera picture unless it was really good. But if it's more like "just" a greeting card to update folks but not something you expect them to hold on to as a keepsake, then it's probably fine.

I get holiday letters printed on regular paper that looks like they have low quality pictures on them. I find them interesting as a means of catching up, but I don't end up saving them so it's not that big a deal that it's a poor quality picture.
