Do you recommend a particular cook book for children? My daughter loves to cook and bake but she is not quite two and a half...a little young, I know. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

Have you tried the Paula Deen cookbook? My mom got that for my kids and they love it! Some are very simple recipes, and they taste good. I hope this may help a little bit. Good luck!

My daughter is 6 and got a Paula Dean cookbook for Christmas that she loves. It has pictures as well as the written recipe. She has made a quite a few things and loves it!

I've gotten several books by Barbara Beery (sp?) that are geared towards little girls but are really more semi-homemade type boooks that focus on food presentation and assembly as much as actual cooking. I liked them because my little girl felt like she was cooking without us having to be near a hot stove or using knives while she was so little. I get them on Amazon for around $10 each.

there's two by Molly Katzen (not positive on spelling). they're designed for preschoolers (4-5). they have the recipe "normal" for the adult to look at and do the prep. then they have the entire recipe in picture format. and the best part is, its decent food unlike almost all kids' cookbooks. its not cutesy junk but actual food and is healthy too! my kids are 6 and 8 and still use ours.
