I actually have a couple twin mattress that I am going to get rid of because I am moving, if you are intersted....They are in good condition and they are FREE. Email me back at ____@____.com if this sounds like something you want to do.
I'm looking for a reasonable twin mattress without the box spring. Any recommendations?
I want to thank all of you for your help. However, Laura has offered to give me a mattress that she has for FREE b/c she is moving out of the state. Again, thank all of you for your help and thanks Laura for making my life easier. I'm sure my oldest son will enjoy his new mattress.

We bought our's as Sam's for both our boys.
I and/or my parents have bought several mattresses at Sam's over the years. They hold up really well. In fact, my son is sleeping on my old twin size mattress from high school (12 years ago) now.
They are ususally the best quality for the price.
Ikea has reasonable price for decent quality.

Sams has very reasonable twin matrress.
When I first bought my son a mattress I found an inexpensive one at the furniture store. I have to say though it wasn't in his best interest to go with the less expensive version. I recently bought him a new mattress. I put forth a little more money on it and the overall quality is evident. He sleeps so much better. He even says so. We got this mattress at Mattress Giant. Watch their sales and you can find quality mattresses for reasonable prices.
There`s a outdoor strip mall in Grand Prairie,TX called Traders Village, they sale twin beds and (Etc) for very good prices,
And you may be able to even find your angels twin comforter sets also.....

Diane, believe it or not Big Lots sale really nice (thick) Sealy brand matttress. YOu should be able to find a really nice twin size w/out the box spring for really cheap, still in the plastic with tags and everything.
Matress Firm has a section at the back of their stores where they have the least expensive matresses. They are usually discontinued models. You should be able to get a twin for no more than $99 there.
