I am 39 yrs old, I have 2 childrens ages 12 and 16. I was on the depo shot for 10+ years. After trying for 2 yrs I finally got pregnant 3 months ago but had a miscarriage at 6 weeks and 6 days gestation. My Dr advised I could try again immediately just to wait thru 1 menstrual cycle...Well low and behold I got pregnant immediately again and I am now at 5 weeks gestation...Things were going great for about a week I had every pregnancy symptom, sense of smell, tender breast, nausea, sleepiness, everything...Then all of a sudden all the symptoms just stopped, no more tender breast, no more nausea, no more tireness...Not sure if I am in the beginning stages of miscarriage again, I have not had any bleeding, but I didn't have any bleeding with my last miscarriage either..Just worried sick, but can't get into the dr for a couple of days, Has this happened to anyone else? and was it a miscarriage or was it a normal part of pregnancy

What can I do next?

W., welcome to mamapedia!!

I'm sorry. I know what it's like to miscarry a baby. I've lost 3 - one at 13 weeks, one at 22 weeks and the next and last at 14 weeks.

Before you start panicking...contact your OB/GYN and see if they can do a vaginal ultrasound so you can see the baby...

Unfortunately, heartbreak happens when we find out sssooo soon about pregnancies...please know that's NOT meant to be mean. There was a time when women wouldn't find out until 8 to 10 weeks...now? as soon as 2 weeks and really? women get hurt when the baby doesn't grow.

Don't stress over something you cannot change. Go to your doctor and find out...every pregnancy is different. Some women don't get morning sickness with one and do with the next...some have no symptoms, some have hyper-symptoms!

Good luck!

yes and no. Pregnancy nausea can eb and flow and initial breast tenderness can ease up. I was 10 weeks when I got relief from nausea only to realize at 11 weeks i had lost it when it was 8 weeks. Try not to over think it. I have had three babies, three miscarriages and two miscarriage scares. Some miscarriages with bleeding and some without bleeding, some healthy pregnancies with bleeding and some without, some miscarriages while fully symptomatic, and some with eased up pregnancy symptoms. Sometimes Dr. couldn't find a heart beat or a fetus, but the ultrasound technician could. And what I can offer you is this; while you are grasping for peace of mind and someone to tell you it worked out for them, what you are really battling here are the agonizing hours, days and weeks until you can have an ultrasound. I've played this waiting game 6 times. The hours feel like days, the days feel like weeks, and the weeks feel like months. So go try and find a way to keep really busy and occupied.
Please don't think I am minimizing the fear, pain ,and loss of a miscarriage, but they are very common even in healthy women who are capable of carrying a full term baby. Just because you've had one does not mean you will have another. Stay positive, pray, and as much as I'd like to tell you to stop dwelling on it, I know that is impossible.

I'm not sure if there is a correlation. In my experience, it was the opposite. I had more nausea with the one I miscarried. I had a sense that something was wrong, but kept trying to assure myself that I had all of the symptoms, but no such luck. So, you just never know.

every pregnancy is different. All four of my boys were different. Different cravings...different feelings...

check with your doctor. Stressing over this isn't going to change anything.

I'm sorry you had a miscarriage. I can't imagine going through that.

I don't want to scare you, but this has happened to me and it was a miscarriage. The nasuea went away around 8-9 weeks, and I thought it was because I was nearing the end of the first trimester. I found out a few weeks later that it was a missed miscarriage...But everyone's different. I hope your doctor is able to tell you some good news in a few days. Good luck!

Same thing happened to me. The doctor reassured me this can happen and he was right. I went on to deliver a healthy baby girl. I know the fear though since I miscarried too. Not bleeding is a really good sign.

Hi W. - I am so sorry to hear that you had a previous miscarriage and are now concerned about this pregnancy. I have had 4 miscarriages myself, so I know what it is like. With my track record, I was nervous with all of my pregnancies and so my OB would always perform ultrasounds earlier than they would normally order. Can you call your MD and express to them how you are feeling anxious and perhaps they can do an early US to either confirm or negate your suspicions? I hope that everything works out for you!! Take Care
