I found some Flinstones chewable vitamins at Walmart that are specially formatted for 2-3 year olds.! They were like 5.00 for 100 vitamins!
My oldest daughter is about to be two this March. Everytime we check her iron it's borderline low. I've tried all giving her extra iron rich foods to help bring it up. Her doctor isn't worried about it, but I would like to start her on a good multi vitamin to give her a boost. Any thoughts?

We have been using either Flinstones or Centrium Kids since my son was a year and half. We just cut the vitimin in half as the doc. suggested. They come with extra things in it...for my son we give him extra vitimin C because he was getting sick ALL the time. Best wishes!
my only advice is to stay away from the gummy vitamins or the bubble gum ones or anything else like that while they are fun for kids the vitamins are not absorded into the bloodstream as well as with the plain old chewables, i do know that there is an online compnay called melaluca that has a childrens vitamin that is much better than the rest because of the way it is compounded more vitamins are absorbed into the body but you have to be a member to order, hope that helps good luck.
I would go with Flinstones. It is a good brand and while there may be cheaper vitamins with the same components, they may not be as good. Here is why: Vitamins are not regulated by the FDA and there is no standard of testing that needs to be done on them before they are put on the market. The more popular brands tend to have the most money to spend on research and the components of the vitams are probably more benificial. No conclusive tests have been done to see if vitams are really benifical, the vitamins in our foods tend to be the best source and the easiest/most effictive for our bodies to use. Giving your child vitamins is definately a good thing, but remember not to use it as a substitute for any foods she may not be getting. Instead, use them to compliment your child's current diet.
Jack loves the Flinstones My First Vitamins for 2&3 year olds.
Also - be sure that your child is drinking juice with vitamin C when eating iron fortified foods. Cheerios, Kix and Chex are all good cereal choices. The Vitamin C helps the body absorb iron.
My daughter is almost 3 and I use the princess gummy vitamins with her she loves to take them they are like fruit snacks she always wants more then the 2 she gets. you just have to find what she likes. I worked in a health food store for 2yrs I can tell you the vitaballs are bad so that's the only negative advice I can give you.
I don't know that much about children vitamins (I just my first child three weeks ago), but I do know that it is VERY easy for children to OD on too much iron. I would suggest you talk to a nurse or doctor to see what is the proper amount for a child.
My kids 4 and 3 take Arbonne's childrens. I love them and so do they. The actually remind me if I forget to give them.. specially my son.. Here is two links.. mine www.passion4more.myarbonne.com and Arbonnes www.arbonne.com I can send you the ingredient list. All Arbonnes products are botanically based and pure, safe and beneficial to the whole family. I have used the products personally for 17 yrs. I give my 2 yr old son the chewable multivitamin from Naturesunshine called herbasaurs. They are good flavored and they don't contain fillers. Over the counter brands always have fillers. If you want to buy them same day contact me and I can give you contact info and then you can pick them up. Visit naturesunshine.com for more info. http://www.naturessunshine.com/products/catalog/products....
Hi B.,
I think your idea is a great one. Iron-rich foods aren't kids' first choices, that's for sure.
Shaklee's Vita-Lea Ocean Wonders would be my recommendation.
It has 23 essential vitamins and minerals, is sugar free, has all-natural sweeteners and all-natural flavors.
Flinstones is sugar free but not the other three. GNC SportsKids has all-natural sweeteners and flavors, but not the other two. Centrum Kids Rugrats has 23 essential vitamins and minerals but not the other three.
Melaleuca has two children's products with 20 vitamins and minerals in one, and 17 in another. They are sugar free and have no artificial colors but don't tell about artificial sweeteners. This is a company that has toothpaste with flouride which is something we should all avoid. I've done research on companies and continue to stay with Shaklee because of their scientific approach to health. NASA has them make a product exclusive for our astronauts - that speaks volumes to me.

Best of luck to you and your family. You're on the right path.
Have you ever heard of a distribution product called Juice Plus? I started my kids on it two years ago insted of vitamins. It is whole food - everything they need in their daily routine. 7 raw fruits and 10 raw veggies and grains. It is expensive but I would spend way more buying all of this produce - check out the website I share with my sister. She is the one who got me started and I love it.
Feel free to email me as well if you have any questions.
Good luck!

Try Flintstones.
Also iron rich foods. Spinach blended up in a fresh strawberry smoothie is fantastic.
The company I represent has great vitamin and nutritional supplements. My 20 month old son is on some of these.
