Can Anyone Recommend a Good Church in Arlington

Has anyone attended or currently attend either Lake Arlington Baptist or Crossroads Christian? I'm seeking a church to call home, and I'm trying to do some preliminary research. I've visited both websites and both seem to be wonderful... we're very adamant that there are children's programs at the church we attend. Or, if you attend a church in the area and you can tell me about it, that would be fantastic. Thank you!!!

What can I do next?

They have several in Arlington. Here is a locator to tell you the closest to you. They have great children's and women's programs. There is also a great FAQ's area on the website.

I have enjoyed every area I have been in.

Hi K.~

We attend Fellowship of the Metroplex and absolutely love it. We've got a 7 year old and she thinks it's the best place ever! In fact, she just left today for church camp! In fact, my in-laws were in town last weekend and after church as we were walking out to the car, she told PawPaw, "I just love this place". It's a great place for the adults, too. It's casual dress and in Sunday morning Worship Services...we don't feel like we're being "preached" to...we feel like we're being educated. Come check us out - winninglife.org

K., we are at Fielder Road Baptist, and love it. If you are considering Lake Arlington and Crossroads, this is definitely another to look into. We visited all three before we settled down, as we recently switched from a church in Grapevine.

I attend Sublett Rd Baptist Church. It is a great church. All of the people are very nice. I have been at that church for about 6 years. My children love going to their Sunday School class and children's church. They bring home memory verses every week. We have a great youth program and an awesome youth director. Good luck finding a church home. Hope you can come and visit us one Sunday.

Hi K.!

I would definitely suggest visiting Crossroads Christian Church! I have been a member for 12 years now, and absolutely love it! Crossroads definitely caters to kids, and one look at their Sunday school area will reveal to you just how passionate Crossroads is in regards to showing children the love of Christ. I actually volunteer on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, so if you'd like me to show you around, just let me know! I would love to!

Hi K.,

My family currently attends Lake Arlington Baptist Church & we love it. My husband is in the orchestra, & also one of the instructors for Karate there. It's free. They have an 8:30 & 11am Sunday School classes for the adults. They have a wonderful kids church. It's called KidsRock, my 6th grader loves it. During the school year they have a thing called The Zone, one Saturday a month. The cost for this is $4 & includes dinner & study's & fun time from about 5-8. So it is 3 hours of relaxtion for you for only $4 a child. Mrs. Karin is the director of the smaller children & I kid you not, the first time we went there she was so sweet & then when we cam the next Sunday she knew the names of everyone in our family. Mr. Don is the director of the school aged children, and sometimes I think he is one of them...lol. I have had nothing but great times of worship & feel safe letting my children stay there. As a matter of fact in less than 2 weeks they leave for Church camp to Glen Rose. If you have any other questions you can email me & I will do my best to answer & if I can't I can let you know who to call. Good luck in your search, I know how frustrating it can be till you find out exactly where God want's you to plant your feet.

K., if you haven't found a church home yet you might try Pantego Bible Church. It is close to Eastchase and I 30. We have a LOT of kids and a really good childrens ministry. It is very Bible based. www.pantego.org is the web site. We have been attending for about 15 years, and I am blessed by the number of young families and children. Let me know if you have any questions-or call the church ! Blessings-D.

I've been a member of Fielder Road Baptist Church for 13 years. They have great children programs both on Sunday and Wednesday. Yes, it's a large church, but honestly, it feels so small once you visit. I enjoy the 11:15 service, which is contemporary music. And we go to 9:30 small group. Go to www.fielder.org to find out more.
