Burnt Scalp

Does anyone know if there is a shampoo or conditioner out there that will protect your scalp from getting sun burnt? My D and I often have our hair in pigtails or pony tails. We currently are using a chapstick ti protect the part, but it is really gross. It makes our hair so greasy. I'ld like to just use a hair product that would take care of it all day. I'm asking too much, aren't I? Any other home remedies are more then welcome!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks ladies. I have been trying to put sun block on my scalp but it is really just so gross and greasy. I think I might just need to find a less gressy sun block. (and a hat) Thanks agian.

I don't know of any products like your talking about but you can put a little sunscreen on your scalp to protect it. Also wear a hat is great to fight the sun.
Have fun in the sun...lol

Arbonne has some great suncare and haircare products. Some of them spray on. If you like, I can help you get your hands on some. Msg me back...

My hair is very sensitive to "the elements", and it fries in the sun with this humidity. The product that I use is "ic Hair Polisher" with aloe, and I LOVE IT! The sun and my blowdryer are my hair's worst enemies, and this stuff works them to my hair's advantage, making it feel even softer to the touch. You could also use conditioner. (You'll end up with an awesome deep-conditioning treatment baked in by the sun.)

Sounds like you need to patent the idea and sell it to a hair-care company...in the meantime, I find that the old fahioned sunblock like coppertone isn't really that greasy and works well if you just put a little in the part.
