We've just moved from out of state and need to find a good family practice doctor or pediatrician. We need a doc who is really compassionate and prefer one who is somewhat younger... though that is certainly not required. We're in the North East part of San Antonio, but I would be willing to drive further for a great doctor.
I'd like to find one that is at least neutral when it comes to home birth and delayed vaccination.

We use Northeast Pediatrics off of Village Drive. They have weekend hours for emergencies which is nice. Our doctor is Dr. Rhame. I have several friends who use him. He is not "young" but he has a young daughter (6 or 7 now I think) so he has been through the baby thing not too long ago. He also worked some time at an ER for children. We have been to several hospitals around town and lots of doctors and nurses seem to know him and speak very highly of him. I have LOTS of friends who use their practice as well and love it.
Dr. Abrams, NW Pediatrics ###-###-####. DOn't be put off by the strip mall appearance or the decor. What counts is that they're a great group of doctors. They'll always squeeze in your child. They have a separate sick waiting room. The staff is professional and friendly. And to boot, there's a convenient mom&pop pharmacy next door that has great toys for kids to play with.
