I have 3 crockpots....LOL a tiny one, a huge one and a normal size one. guess what I make in a crock pot? Beef tips...that's it! I use them to take stuff like spaghetti sauce or chili somewhere and keep it warm other than that.

I need your best crock pot recipe! the idea of throwing a few things in in the morning and having a masterpiece gourmet meal when we walk in the door at the end of the day sounds heavenly!!

Bring it on mommas!!

I go to allrecipes.com now for all my recipe needs. Seriously..for everything! I just got two recipes for Pumpkin Seeds that were delicious!!

One of my favorite recipes is pot roast in the crockpot. I throw it all in early on Sunday morning and then can't wait for that first whiff once we come home and take a step in the door..MMMMM...that is comfort food!!

I just get a good cut of pot roast, chuck roast. Toss it in the crockpot with a can of cream of mushroom soup, 2 pkgs of Lipton Onion Soup mix and 3/4 to a cup of water. You can throw cut up potatoes and carrots in there too! I usually make homemade mashed potatoes as the side and then use the gravy the roast makes.

I also have a chocolate cake recipe that you make in the crockpot...it is like chocolate lava cake. Cooks into a cake and it is sitting on this yummy oooey gooey chocolate pudding. If you want the recipe then P.M. me. It is easy but a long recipe.

We are a crock pot lovin family!!

Good luck and best wishes at enjoying a season of crockpot cooking!!

New website just started up - crockpotgirls.com
Amazing list of recipes in categories.
I made a mexican chicken meal I saw there, and it has become a part of our meals every single week.

1 lb chicken breast or tenderloins
1 can rotel tomatoes
1 can black beans
1 can or small frozen bag of corn
1 8oz package of cream cheese.

Throw it all in together for 5-6 hours on low, and the chicken will shred easily. I serve it over white rice. Would also be awesome in a tortilla.

One of our all-time favorite recipes is called Pepperoncini Beef from allrecipes.com. It's about 3 ingredients I think (though I do seasont the hell out of the meat as well), pop it in the pot & dinner is ready to go when you get home! It's got a little kick to it but the kids still love it too.

Chili is already going for tonight!
I use a simple of equation of "equal amounts".
Today I used 2lbs of browned gr. beef, 2 cans of chili beans and 2 cans of diced tomatoes. I also threw in a can of black beans (love them in chili!), was still a bit too thick so I added another can of tomatoes. My favorte chili spice is Carroll Shelby's - it comes in a brown box.
Sometimes I might sub 1/2lb of the meat with sausage. I might throw in some italian seasonings. Use different beans.
Find out your having a couple of extra people? Throw in another can of beans and tomatoes.

I've won some chili cook offs with recipe. I hope you enjoy.

B.'s Smoked Chicken Chili

1 28 ounce of enchilada sauce (I used hot, red sauce)
1 15 oz can of refried beans
4 15 oz cans of chili flavored beans
4 pounds of chicken leg 1/4's (leg 1/4's work better than breasts)
2 tablespoons of chili powder
1 heaping teaspoon of cayenne pepper
1/4 lb of fresh jalapenos. (canned won't work as well)

I used a 6 qt crock pot turned on high.
Smoke the chicken leg 1/4's. Place them in a pan, with 1/4" of water, on a BBQ grill with mesquite wood for smoke. Cook them over very low heat, until done. Put the chicken leg 1/4's and the water in a container in the frig over night. I put Canadian Chicken Seasoning on my chicken in the grill.

Put all the ingredients in the crock pot, including the water in the pan the chicken cooked in, except the jalapenos, and stir. 5 hours later, remove the leg 1/4's and place on a plate to cool. After the chicken is cool enough to handle, remove the bones and place the meat back in the crock pot, then stir. Stirring breaks up the chunks of meat and makes it go through out the chili.

Cut the tops off the jalapenos. Cut them in half length wise. Use the round end of a spoon to scoop out the seeds and white part that holds the seeds. (The seeds and white membrane makes Jalapenos HOT.) Do the scraping under the water or with a fan blowing the fumes away from you. Dice the pods and add them to the chili 15 to 30 minutes before serving. Enjoy!! (For thicker chili, remove 2 cups of sauce only from the pot when you remove the chicken to debone it.)

I sipped/drank the sauce I removed to make my chili thicker. It was HOT, but delicious.

Good luck to you and yours.

a really easy one!
throw some frozen chicken pieces in (I buy the bag of frozen skinless/boneless thighs)
a large can of cream of chicken soup
top with a box of stove top stuffing - just put it on there
let cook! the stuffing will get it's moisture from the chicken & soup, the chicken will be completely cooked even though it went in frozen :)

enjoy!

I have a whole "Crock Pot" set of recipes I'd gladly mail to you - I bought a huge cookbook and no longer need this set - it'd probably cost $5 to ship - My inlaws live by you but we're not going up this weekend. Message me if you're interested - it breaks it down from appetizers, main dishes, dessert, etc. and it's in a kinda old fashioned 'recipe' box.
