Blister Pain Releif

I took my daughter to the dermatolagist yesterday to treat her molluscum bumps and the medicine they put on it made it blister up badly. The doctor said it would do that to trigger her own immune system to fight the virus, but she now has about 14 GIANT painful blisters that are making her uncomfortable. Is there anything I can do to help the blisters go away faster or at least ease the pain?

What can I do next?

I have 4 children, and all have had molluscum bumps. Don't do anything to them. They go away on their own. It takes several months for them to go away, but they do. It will seem like forever, because they keep getting more and more bumps. And suddenly, one day they all just disappear. I now they look gross, but they do go away on their own. And at least they won't have to deal with the blistering from the meds.

Hi J.
My son had the same problem. I was told to leave on the beattle juice for three hrs and then give him a bath. I was also given some antibiotic ointment to put on the blisters and they were all gone by the next day. Ask your doctor if they have anything to put on her. Good luck

I don't know how to make the blisters better. I just wanted you to know I to took my son to the dermatologist for this and what they applied to skin made absolutely no change in the bumps. Then I saw a product online called ZymaDerm and thought I would try it. Well let me just say I am amazed, within 2 days we noticed a huge difference in our son. I would say his mollouscum completely cleared up within 2 weeks. If what your Dermatologist did does not work please give this product a try it really works.

When me son was @ 1 year or so, he got a viral infection that spread to dime sized, puss filled blisters on his stomach and hand. His pediatrician lanced them and squeezed the puss out like a large pimple. Then he put neosporin and bandaged them. That stopped the pain and they cleared up. I wish you the best of luck.

alright i dont know how much this will help your situation but ive always been told to take some fresh lemon juice and mix it with cornstarch till the CS has no knots in it then spread it on the blister. should take the pain away and get it down. try it with one first and go from there. best wishes!!

I only have experience with regular blisters but Band-aid makes a blister band aid I've used it on myself and it really worked. You leave it on and it will come off when the blister disappears, they are water proof. It cushions the blister and helps it heal.

Taking the leaf of an aloe vera plant and cutting it open then laying it on the blister usually helps. Vinegar will also help ease the pain if you rub it on with a cotton ball. Just don't pop any blisters.

Hi J.,

Melaleuca oil not only heals but comforts molluscum bumps and blisters. I have recommended it before on this site and I have gotten positive feedback. This is a high grade tea tree oil that absorbs deep into the skin/blister so that it is actually healing from the inside out instead of fighting to get to the root of the problem. I also know a lotion and a topical ointment with this ingredient in it that will help as well.

Let me know if you need more info. I'd be glad to help.

Regards,

M.
