I think you are thinking of AirZone on North Oak just south of Barry Road. Good luck with the party!
Anyone have any ideas for 7yr old boy birthday Party? His Birthday is Mar 28th, We've done the skating rink and bowling. He wants to have it at Edge Gymnastics in Riverside but I thought they were a little high! $170 for a two hr party for 1-10 kids? I want to stay close to home so he can invite friends from school. We live by Zona Rosa. Chuck-E-Cheese closed in the Northland but he's getting a little to old for that. I thought I got a brochure for something that opened up on North Oak but I can't find it. Maybe I dreamed it! It had blow up slides etc......Any suggestions would be great---I'm not ready to do the YMCA PARTY. Not this time of year anyway don't want to have to get in a bathing suit if you know what I mean.

J.,
I know what you are struggling with. I have a party as well to plan for a 9 year old. The place you dreamed of is Airzone on North Oak. I have been curious about it as well. Here is the website http://www.airzonekidz.com/air-zone-contact-us.html . Good luck and hope all works out!
We are having our 7 year old's party at the North Kansas City Community Center. You have three choices, with a party room you can also have: pool, rock wall, or a bouncer. I paid $100.00 for the pool, which includes 25 people (I have to have 1 adult per 5 kids). I'm not getting in the pool - my husband and some other friends are - I'm the photographer. You could do the bouncer if you don't want to do the pool. You could also try Mercury Gymnastics, they are cheaper than the Edge. You could also do bowling, pretty cheap. Our friends had their 8 year olds party at the YMCA, and the wife didn't swim, just the husband.
Hope that helps.

Air Zone is located in the Northland, on North Oak. They have blow up slides, etc. and host birthday parties. I don't know how reasonably priced they are but I think their webiste is www.airzonekidz.com, also www.motherandchildreunion.com has great birthday party ideas. They also have a free publication you can pick up at Babies R Us, many pediatricians offices and some other businesses.
This might be alittle to far but my nephew had his party (I think he is 10) at Jaggers paint ball, Its down by the Ameristar. I do Know my other nephews 4 and 5 went also and they all had alot of fun.
Hi,
Try looking up AirZone. They are a new inflatable play/party place on North Oak Traffic Way. I think their website is airzonekidz.com. If that's incorrect you should be able to google it as air zone Kansas City. Their prices are similar but for more number of kids. I hope this helps.

There is a place called "Pump It Up" that has blow up slides and things. I'm not sure if there is one up north, I know there is one in Olathe. You might try Googling it. Mother and Child Reunion magazine has tons of advertisments for places like that- you might pick one of those up. Movie theaters also do birthday parties. Good luck!
Hey J.!
I live on N. Oak and the place you're talking about is AIR ZONE - I've only been there once with my family (I have a 5 yr. old boy & a 1 yr. daughter) - they both enjoyed it alot. There's a seperate toddler play area too. There's 2 rooms of inflatables for them to play on (jumps & slides). They have a air hockey table too.
I've included a link to their website for ya!
(http://www.airzonekidz.com/)- just click on "PARTY ZONE" for private party info. Their phone number is ####-###-#### ... it's automated and has a recording to tell you info. about times of play & cost.
Another idea might be to just take a group of kids there for play time & then go back to your house for cake, ice cream & presents. Depending on the # of kids you're inviting this may be cheaper.
I did it this way for my son this past yr. - we took about 3 of his friends to Paradise-Park in Lee's Summit (http://www.paradise-park.com/) and the parents met us back at our house for cake, icecream, & presents - everyone had a blast! (it costs less for us this way too - we have the family adventure pass so we only had to pay for the 3 kids - we got the "flex pass" - included the edutainment center & foam factory) Paradise Park has SO MUCH to entertain them & different prices for what you want. My son had so much fun in the "foam factory" - check out their website for sure if you've never been there 'cause it's a great place to visit with the kiddies!
But if you have a party @ Air Zone, the whole place is JUST FOR YOU & they do the clean-up!! How wonderful!! Whatever you do I hope your little one has a Great & Memorable Birthday! :) Hope this helps! Best wishes, M. L. :)
The place on n oak that your are talking about is called Airzone. A friend of mine took her niece there and they loved it!!
On my son's 8th b-day we let him pick 5 friends to take to a KC Brigades game. The tickets are very resonable. We had Pizza at the house before hand and everyone came back to our house for cake and a sleepover. All of the boys had a great time.
The place on North Oak is Air Zone. My teenage daughter works there. I think it is a little pricey for what you get.
My son also has a March b-day and I am trying to figure out what to do for a party.
Place on north oak is called airzone. lots of fun but I think expensive for a party you get 30 min in each room for play a total of 60 play and I think 30 in a party room. We have done open play there a couple of time and my daughter went to one party there
Airzone is the one on N.Oak it has blow up slides. McDonalds has bday parties (?) that is on Barry Rd. AMC on Barry used to have a party room also...maybe just a movie out w/the girls? There is always the trusty pizza party, call the mazzios right there or p. hut
