I like OxiClean Baby Stain Remover Spray. I found that it removed old set in poop and spit up stains from the baby's sleepers and undershirts so I still buy it until this day.
What is the best stain remover you have used? Do you like oxiclean powder that goes in the wash? I am currently using spray and wash, and it is just ok - so what product blows your mind?!
Oh I like that idea Mama duck
I like OxiClean Baby Stain Remover Spray. I found that it removed old set in poop and spit up stains from the baby's sleepers and undershirts so I still buy it until this day.
I use 1/3 part regular laundry detergent to 2/3 parts water mixed in an old spray and wash bottle. I spray the stain and throw it in the hamper. It works just as well as any of the special stuff you buy.
I use Spray and Wash but if there is a bigger stain (red wine, etc) I will spray with the Spray and wash and put a little detergent directly on the stain and soak in cold water with detergent for a few minutes before I put things in the washer.
Nothing really blows my mind but I have found if you spray it or put detergent directly on the stain, it can sit in the hamper until ready to wash and the stain will come out.
Good luck.
I used to be a Spray n Wash user, but I started noticing that it was leaving spots on my families clothes. They ruined so many clothes.
Oxy Clean is the way to go for sure!! SO much happier and it gives the laundry an extra fresh scent. The powder goes straight into the wash, and it's great for stinky towels, and things like that. The spray kind is great for smaller stains.
For baby stuff I love Dreft, it always got out set in stains.
As for mind blowing stuff, I used to have a product called "Sun Gold" LOVED that stuff. My husband was active Army at that time, and he always had set in grime, and blood etc on his uniforms. Never had a stain that it couldn't get out. It worked on literally everything, and it was organic. I haven't been able to find the stuff in awhile but if you do, buy it as it's amazing.
I LOVE oxiclean. I use the liquid, not the powder. I think they make a concentrated stain remover, too. Every once in a while a stain gets by the oxiclean, because I really pack the washer. But it takes out almost all my kids' every day stains.
I swear by Dreft baby stain remover spray. I use it on everything and it takes out all stains (including blood).
Oxy clean stain gel stick or blue dawn works best for us
I use one called Zout that I really like. It is a spray, comes in a red bottle and I have found it at Target.
Zout is great to get out old stubborn stains, but it smells and can be hard to find. The cheapest and most natural I found is a bar of Fels Naptha laundry soap. To use, wet the spot(s), wet the soap a little, rub soap into stain & scrub with toothbrush. I usually let sit for a bit before washing.
I use on the baseball pants especially. Though I will tell you some baseball fields dirt just truly won't release no matter what as I've found from Cooperstown & Kentucky clay especially. If time allows I will use the soap, the soak cycle on the machine, check and scrub again before full cycle. And I never dry put the pants or any item if I am unsure if a stain came out in the dryer.
Prespot. Works great every time and is nontoxic.
Nothing beats the old blue Dawn dish soap. I use it to get out everything. I put it on the item and start with a cold water wash. 99% of the time that's all I need to do.
I have been a long time user of TIDE and SHOUT, but recently the kids Uniform store recommended WISK for washing detergent and BIZ for stains. I honestly couldn't be happier with the clothes coming out way cleaner. Wisk has quite a heady scent but I just use a little less and the fragrance dissapates once the clothes are dried. BIZ for stains can be added to the wash and I filled a spray bottle (it comes in a non-spray bottle). Once I have sprayed the clothes I do rub the product into the clothes - very happy with the results.
