I am planning my son's first birthday and it is a pumpkin party. Does anyone know of a great bakery to order his birthday cake? I am wanting a three dimensional pumpkin cake! Thanks for your help! I live and work in the keller/saginaw/southlake area.

I've seen one that you can make. You use 2 bundt cake pans and place one on top of the other to get the round shape and use a green ice cream cone for the lid. Frost and decorate. They look really cute, and it would be cheaper than buying one. To look at some pictures or even ask some very talented cake decorators questions about how to do it, check out www.cakecentral.com.
Texas Star bakery, it is on Harwood in North Richland Hills not far but it is a great bakery and they have made several 3 demntional cakes fo rme, but also you can make one from Hobby lobby has the tins to bake two sided cakes, just used a boxed cake and die with orange then frost it with a piping froster! Easy. Southlake has a bakery more near keller I guess called memories cakes or something on left hand side of 1709 before you get to 377. Creative memories or something like that they have good ones too! Good Luck
Not sure how much you are looking to spend but Bronwen Weber (of the Food Network Cake Challenges) is working in Dallas now. Her shop is Frosted Art Designs and it's off 35 in Dallas. Her work is, of course, award-winning.
