Hi, I am about to have my 3rd baby and we are also moving to a bigger house soon where the 3 kids rooms will be at one end of the house and our bedroom at the other. I would like to put a baby monitor in each of the kids rooms for night time, and I am wondering if I buy 3 of the same monitor and set them to the same channel can I hear all of them on the same receiver? Has anyone tried this before?

Also, any recommendations on monitors you like (or don't like) are appreciated. I've read that the 900 Mhz DSS ones are best, but not sure which brands these are.

Thanks! C.

What can I do next?

We have the same situation - our kids are all upstairs and on the other side of our house from our room (our room is downstairs). I tried it,and it didn't work with the evenflo monitors that I bought so we ended up plugging in all of the receivers. Now we just use one monitor because I found that, since their rooms are next to each other, I can hear everything that I need to hear even if the monitor isn't in the crying childs room (I still hear them in the middle of the night when the others cry). It also works well if you leave all the doors open a little and put the monitor in the hallway next to their rooms. The monitors that we had were excellent 900 mhz and I could even get reception at my neighbors house, but I don't think they are on the market anymore (called evenflo tria).

We have the Summer Night and Day Video monitor with two cameras and one hand held device. We only have a few static issues depending on where you are in the room. I am not sure if it could 'hold' another camera. We love it! Good luck with number 3.

I would maybe just put one in the babys room if you feel you have to have
them. For me, all the little noises they make, made me crazy. If they
cry trust me you will hear them. Had four kids on one end of house
and never used one. However, that is what worked for me.

i have 2 monitors in my house. They do not interfere with each other. I bought one that works 900 frequency and the other at 400 or soemthing....so they were really far apart. And I set them to different channels.

Actually, baby monitors are so sensitive that they will really pick up the noise from far away so you could put one monitor in the hallway between the three bedrooms if that works. Then you'll be able to hear all three... That's what I did for my three when we were visiting my parents a few weeks ago. Worked like a charm and we even had the twins' door closed! We have a very basic fisherprice monitor with one handheld set and one base. It's never given me any problems and it's four years old...

I have a summer infant video monitor and LOVE it! it has a screen on the portable and a screen you put on your night stand or can mount some where. I do not know of any 3 in 1 systems though, this is just one. I love that I can see and hear her. It does not keep me up at night at all and gives me peace of mind. Some say the light from the screen keeps them up, you can turn it off constant stream, the sound will stay on, if you want to take a quick peak you can just hit a button and the video pops on quickly. It doesn't bother me or my husband so we just leave it on:) Good luck!
