I do not currently have a GP & thought I would use the one my husband does...only she's no longer accepting patients with our insurance! I prefer women dr's, and the GP's I've found in my area that take my insurance are: Dr. Valay (Apopka), Dr. Heriba (Apopka), & Dr. Oh (Longwood). Have any of you gone to these dr's & what did you think? I really hate going to a dr I know nothing about!

I used Dr. Heriba and I was not fond of her. She does not touch you with her hands if she can help it due to religious practices. I found getting poked with a pencil eraser a little offensive. She was very nice, however. The office, though, was terrible. Disorganized is a kind euphemism. I had to call 2 to 3 times for prescription renewals, and even then, Publix usually had to fax the request over more than once. I now use Dr. Panuccio is Altamonte Springs.
No, I have not, but I can recommend Dr. Patel in Longwood. She is very nice and open to listen. She gives you every piece of advice and doesn't write prescriptions just to be writing them.
I have been going to Dr. Heriba since we moved here in 2003. So have my girls, now 17 and 14. She's really smart and takes time to answer my questions. The office is disorganized but the staff is very nice and have always come through when I've needed them in a pinch.
