I was considering gifting one of the netflex monthly plans to my daughter and son n law. They aren't able to go out that much being newlyweds and trying to save money for a home. Any opinions on this service and are you happy/not happy with it?

thanks everyone for your great feedback. I ordered the $8.99 package for them where they can get unlimited rentals but can just check one out at a time I believe. Thanks for making me feel more confident about decision. Take care!
We, too, received our Netflix membership as a gift from my parents, and we love it! Couldn't be more convenient, and the next movie is sent out very fast. :)
We use Blockbuster.com I like it better than Netflix. You have the option of returning your movie at a Blockbuster and getting a new one or ordering online (and then it gets shipped to your house). We also get two free rentals at our Blockbuster per month. That is nice if you decide to get a movie last minute.
Great gift idea. We loved ours - got it first as a gift from friends after the birth of our first child. Service is prompt and movies had arrived in order and scratch free.
Another idea, LobsterGram. My mom has used her "Discover points" - since they offer 1 point for $2. She cashes in her points for LobsterGrams and then gives them as gives. My husband and I have received them from her for anniversary presents - what a gift! We have been able to enjoy a lovely meal, at home, at our convenience.
Just thought I'd give feedback and an additional thought.

Love it. We have been using it for a little over a year and have had no problems.The movies come quickly and if one shows up damaged they put a new one in the mail right away.I would recommend it to everyone.
We love Netflix! The service is super fast where we live, if we put the movie in the mail, the next one comes within 2 days.
We have the lowest service, which is one movie at a time unlimited. Since we like to watch movies on the weekends it's plenty of time to send the movie back and get a new one! We save money because renting a movie every weekend would be twice as much.
We did have problems with getting the newest movies (they tend to have long waits), but since there are so many to choose from we are happy with something obscure we've missed. We had 2 instances with getting the movie scratched, and they were great about rushing us out another one.
My friends who are movie buffs have 3 movies at once, so there is always something to watch. I love the no late fees and not having to run to the movie place to return the movie!
A great gift idea...they'll love it!
