Anyone That's Had NO Issues with Essure?

I've had it for about a year now. I've literally had no issues. Insertion was fine. HSG tested 100% blocked. No pain, no period drama, no weird cramps. My periods have actually been lighter.

But lately, I've read so many bad experiences from others about pain, and worse yet...getting pregnant...that I'm staring to doubt whether or not I should actually trust it for birth control.

Any other ladies out there that have it and have been all clear?
I think I need some positive reinforcement! LOL!

What can I do next?

Well my cousin has had it for lots of years! Got it at Mayo back when it was just first coming out and she has had no problems and no pregnancies since then!

I've been considering it for myself actually so I'm happy to hear that you've had success with it!

I thought it was a liquid nutritional drink for the elderly.

I have never heard of it. If an OB does this procedure in office than I would think it's good option.

I haven't had it done but I want to. My sister had it done 2 years ago and has no problems with it as well. Everything went smoothly for her and no surprises for her.

Hi there! I have never heard of anyone becoming pregnant after having the procedure. I would be curious if the used BC as instructed for the 3 mos after the procedure.
I have had Essure for 3 years. I went back for the test that confirms that my tubes were fully blocked. My periods are still light and run like clock work. No babies or pregnancy scares. I LOVE IT and would do it again if I had to choose again. I do not and have not used any BC since after the procedure. I am of childbearing age so if it was not 99% I could be a candidate for failure. So far so good. I'm not going to use any BC though. My doc had the same procedure and I trust her.

my sister had it 8 yrs ago and has not had any issue at all, my sister in law had it 5 yrs ago and her son just turned 4.
I think if it's going to fail it will fail in the first year from her experience.

I had the procedure done last July - so far so good... no issues with insertion, my HSG also showed 100% blocked and I have had no pain or weird cramps at all either. The only thing I have noticed is that my periods vary from month to month (I vary from 30-35 days)... which in the beginning scared me. However, I'm very happy I had the procedure!

I would research the issue with medical sites to see what they were reporting. I can say I have had no conversations with my friends that have had it done where there are any issues.

It can be literally checked to see if it's working. Talk to the doc about running the dye again to see if there is any change in the blockage.
