I have a rental unit that has...RATS! My fiancee and I have tried to solve it ourselves, but it's time to whomp it up a notch! Anyone have a good experience with an exterminator who did rats specifically?

I also know the people at Tri-city Exterminating. Even if their pellets are effective, it sounds like you want an expert to place the pellets or other poison in your home. Whatever they sell for you to apply is not as strong as what they apply themselves. This is according to law.
You probably know this, but get someone in there right away since you have a little one.

Goodness! My ex-landlord didnt seem to think having rats was a problem therefore we had to handle it ourselves.
We went to Tri-City (I believe) exterminators - I do not think that they go into Chicago - they are located right at the Oak Park/Berwyn/Cicero borders on Roosevelt Road.
However; they have pellets that they sell that are VERY effective. Inexpensive and effective - great combo!
It's a man and a woman who run the store (small and dark store) but check them out if they're in your neck of the woods.
