I am looking for a good family doctor close to the Algonquin area. The office I currently go to doesn't seem to listen or give enough attention, so I am looking to change.

What can I do next?

I love the doctor I've had since I was an adult. He is Dr. Ronald Hirsch, and he is based out of Elgin, but right off Randall Road, so it's an easy drive from Algonquin to Elgin to see him. He really listens to what I say, and takes me seriously. I don't think he takes HMO though, so I guess it depends on your insurance.

Great question! I feel the same way about my doctor...do not like him. I hate to slander his name, however, so I will refrain from telling you who it is. Anyone know if Alpine takes BCBS HMO??

I also go to Alpine Family Physicians which is off Algonquin Rd. and Ryan Pkwy. Love them. I see Dr. Raza Mehdi and like him a lot but also know others who go there and see Dr. Favia as well. Highly recommend them. They are a family practitioners.

YES - THEY DO TAKE BCBSIL HMO - THAT IS WHAT I HAD LAST YEAR.

I go to Alpine Family Physicians - I see Dr. Phillip Favia. I like him/them. I can always get in. They also have hours from like 8am through 9:30 for walk in sick, which is nice.
