Anyone Had a Spa Treatment Facial?

Since I've had my son my skin has changed drastically. I get these horrible pimples that are extremely painful. My skin harbors so much dirt in my pores and I can't seem to wash it out. I've got little bumps that aren't even pimples yet ALL OVER my face! So I am sick and tired of cleaning a face that just stays dirty. Biore strips don't even work. I was thinking about going to a spa and having a facial treatment done. One of those acne ones or the deep pore cleansing ones. Has anyone ever had one done and is it going to be worth taking the time? I'm thinking about using Spa D'Luna off Trinity Mills in Dallas, anyone been and how is it? Thanks in Advance!

Edit: I have a gift card I've been holding onto for months now that I want to use so thats why I'm willing to take a trip to the spa for this.

So What Happened?

I think I'm going to get the deep pore treatment. Plus the spa is offering 25% off as a grand opening special. I think it'll be good. I'm going to see a dermatologist before getting any microdermabrasion treatments done.

I would say to try Obagi. My dermatologist put me on it before I got married. My skin was amazing!!! I can't use it currently because I am breastfeeding, but I plan on going back to it once I am not. If you are breastfeeding, you may want to look up ingredients in products you try before using them. Too many facial products contain ingredients (retynols) which may harm fetuses or children.

Good luck!

Try Proactive on the TV. I have been using it and love it. It really does work like they say. Good luck.

Everyone has suggested lots of cleansers, but honestly awill be able to tell you what will help your skin. They will be able to do a deep good estitician cleaning. My face had a lot of problems while I was prego, and I had facials every 6 weeks and it did wonders. I know that can get expensive as most are 75 to 100 at a reputable spa. I love Bella at Spa Nordstrom at the Galleria. Remember if you are using things that are too strong and are stripping the oils from your face you are only aggravating it. Definitely go see a estitician. A dermatologist will give you a topical medicine but may not give you a good regime. I worked for a skin care company for over a year, and I learned a lot while I was there, so I'm not just talking out my rear. Hope this helps.

I have and it may makes bumps a little worse. Especially if it consists of extractions. You may try proactiv it really works. If that doesnt work there is another 3 step product I get from a dermatologist office called Glytone, works great a little stronger than proactiv.

Save your spa money and go buy some really good face cleansers.....besides the REALLY good stuff you can buy at the dept stores is the same quality (if not better) than the stuff they use at spas. Going to the spa is a one-time hit--albeit an expensive one! Don't buy anything initially, go and ask for samples, try them, see if they work. If they don't work, try something else. Keep trying til you find something that works...don't give up!!! You'll know when you find something that works! good luck.

Hi Renea.

I suggest Cleanser #3, Clarifying mask formula 3 and Moiturizer #2 (or oil control lotion if you have oily skin). You can also add Acne treatment gel too.

I have all samples if you want to try before you buy. I can send it to you or get with with to show you how to use it at no charge.
