I love the turbo jam videos! I don't have any specific numbers for you as far as weight goes, because I got pregnant a couple of months after I started using the videos regularly, but both my husband and I noticed my muscles (esp. arms, legs, butt, abs) getting much firmer. I really broke a sweat and got my heart pumping.
I found them to be fun and entertaining as well. My 2 year old even got in on the action every now and again. lol. The instructor, Chalene, is a little cheesy, as most video aerobic instructors are, but I just went with it and enjoyed it.
My sisters do it as well- they got me started. One is a pilates instructor and a fitness maniac. She uses the videos when she can't get out the house for a workout (3 kids) and she loves them. My other sister has lost over 70+ lbs. over the last year (4 kids). Turbo Jam is what got her fitness routine kick-started.
If you end up using them, I hope you enjoy them!
Hey, I don't use it but I am interested in it too, so let me know if you get any responses.
I was actually trained to teach turbo kick and it is a lot of fun. It is a little confusing but my opinion on exercise videos is to just get them from the library and trade off each week. I'm serious. That way you don't get bored doing the same workout each week. I would get one cardio, and one pilates or yoga for stretch. Also getting out and walking or jogging is really good too.
I have the videos and I think they are great. I have not been able to have consistent workouts, so I cannot tell you any results, but I enjoy the workouts and they really work the muscles, along with getting your heart rate up, so I love them. I keep hoping for a day when I can use them regularly!
I bought them several years back. It is a good workout. I like them.

Hi T.,
Glad you asked, I too have tried Turbo Jam but being wheelchair bond I found Debbie Sieber Slim in 6 easier to modify so that I get the full aerobic effect. Both series will make you sweat and melt away the pounds, but Turbo Jam uses more kicking which was not viable yet for me. Also, my hubby was willing to do Debbie since he just started exercising. I am half way to my goal weight and have lost 146 pounds. My doctors are hoping I'll be out of this wheelchair with the next 100 pound loss. P90X here I come!
