I've barely been following it recently, it's been going on for SO LONG...

Do you think she's innocent or guilty?

I just feel so sorry for the family of the deceased girl, they need closure...

What can I do next?

I think she is innocent and have from the get go. I am happy to see that she is going to get to come home with her family. This is an experience that many american's won't ever forget. This will also be a huge teaching tool to other students who attend school in another place.

Meredith Kersher has not been a focus of this case...and she is the victim.

I'm not sure if they will ever catch "who done it" because the evidence was sooo mishandled that it's laughable - in fact people laughed about it in court - how sad is that?

Do I think Amanda is guilty? No. They have one person still in custody and convicted - but with the brutality of the crime - there's no way it was done by just one person...so maybe the guy will come clean, who knows!!

I hope that the Kersher family gets closure - at least they know what happened to her - there are sooo many families out there that don't know what happened to their loved one - waiting for the phone call, something...I hope that they find the killer(s).

Everything I've ever read points to her being innocent so I am oddly happy to see her released. I've wondered why I care so much but I guess bc I can see this happening to almost anyone. I have an irrational fear of me or my family being wrongfully imprisoned... And now that I have kids, I kept thinking how horrible it'd be if this happened to one of them. So they won't be doing any semesters abroad. :) It's a bit like the movie Brokendown Palace or something like that with Claire Daines. That movie never left me. So yes, I'm very happy for her and her ex boyfriend. Odd how he gets so much less coverage. I do also feel badly for the murdered girl's family though.

Based on what info I've come across as this case unfolded, I believe she is innocent, and was happy to see her released. I know that I don't "know" one way or another, but my feeling is that she is innocent.

Whenever I see these type of stories on the news I think to myself: Who knows? From watching tv or reading an article how could I have a clue what reality is. Who is guilty, or who is innocent. I just feel sad for everyone involved and TRY not to pass judgement on anyone.

If she didn't commit the crime than she was wrongly imprisoned for 4 years of her life. That will be hard to overcome.
If she did commit the crime than she was released after being punished for 4 years. Was that a fair punishment?
I never really followed the case so I don't know all the details. I feel sorry for the deceased and her family. I hope all the details will point to the person that committed the crime and the deceased's family will have closure to this awful tragedy soon.

I feel bad for the families having to deal with it. I don't really have any feelings for her. I mean, yea for her, but I have no vested interest in that trial in another country. I have vested interested in the court system in my own country and the executions and unfair trials.

I havent followed it closely either. I remember thinking she was guilty a few years ago when it started, not sure now tho so I cant really say.
I'm with you tho on feeling bad for the parents.
Closure is only closure if you are sure the right person got busted tho, right?
Between this case and Michael Jacksons dr's case, court tv is pretty popular.
Still doesnt hold a candle to the Casey Anthony trial tho.
