Well, I just had the gastric bypass bout 3 weeks ago and I'm doing great. I've lost about 19.5 lbs. So, I guess this means that I have lost abouta pound a day. I'm so impressed with my weight loss. I can't wait to see my results in months to come.
Okay ladies here's my question. I had gotton the stomach virus and I was very sick. I had went to the walk-in clinic 3 x's by this time I was vomiting so bad thta I was sent to the hospital. Well, while there I had to do serval blood test, urine tests and ct scan, and also x-rays. I also had to get some contrast while I had gotton the ct scan. Now, I have had the shingles since April off and on and then bout a week ago I ahd gotton them again. Well, is it likey to be allergic to contrast. I went back to the walk in clinic again Sunday for my follow-up. My doctor there said that it looks like I had a reaction to the contrast. I starting itchin after it was over and now I have arash all over my chest, left arm, left leg and my neck. Ladies let, me tell you this that it really hurts really bad. I don't know which is worse the itching or burning or feelin really nasuea... So what do I do?
Try to make another appointment or what. I was given a steriod shot, and pills to take for 6 days. But, everytime that I take them I get really dizzy. What am I to do? I would really apprecitae the advise....
Thank you very much.....

What can I do next?

The Shingles can come out with stress and your body has been under alot of stress.

Allergies can be treated with Benadryl. Read the box for how much you can take.

I'm not sure which is bothering you. The Shingles or the allergies.

Shingles have little that can be done for them, but I hear there are some meds out there and there's a vaccine to prevent outbreaks.

Try the Benadryl, it's cheap, easy and relatively non-dangerous. Good luck.

My mother is allergic to IV Iodine that is used as contrast. Even mega doses of Benadryl do not help.

If it is shingles, the dr has a medicine you can take to help it. Go back to the dr and tell him all of the above.

congratulations and sorry you are feeling so bad now.
