I agree Britax is the best. My mother in law has a nissan quest and we put in the Britax Marathon and it fits wonderfully. They are not cheap but well worth it.
Hi moms,
Can anyone recommend a good, toddler, forward-facing car seat that works well in a minivan w/ captain's chairs? Our 16mo old is ready to turn around, and I’d love advice on where to start looking. Thanks a million!

After watching the video and visiting this website, I was able to make my decision about which car seats to get. After I made my choices (Britax Regent for my toddler and Britax Boulevard for my infant), I did google them to find the best prices on the web.
Hope this helps, although it is awfully sad...
After tons of research and seeing a friends minivan post-car accident with her Britax and toddler fully intact, I didn't hesitate to buy the Marathon for my son when he was ready for one.
I did shop around and actually ordered one from a store in New Jersey because it was dirt cheap.
Although I own 5 Britax's, (our kids currently both sit in the Britax Regent they are 4 and 6) the best car seat out there is actually........ the one installed RIGHT!! Last I heard 97% of car seats are NOT installed properly. 97%!!!! That is crazy! So, yea, we are HUGE fans of Britax and it's all we use, but first to that is just making sure that the seat you do pick is installed correctly. Our Regents are both in captain's chairs in our minivan. They fit perfectly.
Prior to the Regents, we've used the Roundabout and the Marathon. Our Marathon is in my hubby's car so we still use that one at times, then the other one we have is the Companion (infant seat) - which obviously, we aren't using.
I paid 179.00 for the Regents at Amazon. They were on sale, but I would have paid top dollar - car seats are not something I'd skimp on.

i can tell you right now that 98% of moms will tell you britax is the best! if you have the money to spend to buy one i say go for it. i personally have an alpha omega elite. its a little bulky but it goes up to 100lbs and has a 5point harnes till 50lbs. with this youll never need another seat. now my husband and i fly a couple times a year and for that we use a evenflo chase high back booster (it also goes up to 100lbs and has a 5point harness we like it for travel because its light)
heres the car seat (mines a different color)
